Not very sunny today but still hot.
Main news is all about the English Premier League which is extremely popular out here. Lots of excitement in the final round of games and, even though gambling is illegal, lots of money, houses, cars lost!
I just saw an opinion poll in which 74% of Thais said they thought politicians were dishonest! Nothing changes.
Just a beautiful, quiet spring night here. The sort of time that makes you, for a moment, thankful.
And, of course, a smile for posting just under someone who’s reported from Thailand.
Random out-of-the-blue question: some friends and I are visiting colorful Colorado next week and were wondering how much snow y’all had this winter. We’re wondering if bringing our kayaks would make the business aspect of the trip more enjoyable.
Having a good spring run-off, definitely bring the boats if you like whitewater…upper Arkansas River around Salida recommended…looks like a pretty good spring compared to the last few years.
Enjoy, but don’t get in water beyond your abilities.

Johan Cruyff was a small straatschoffie from Amsterdam, has excellent theoretical insight into the game of soccer. The positioning of individual players, always looking for better chances to gain advantage. As player nearly 100% based on natural skill, ball control and game instinct.

I love the small local rural villages in the evening, when local folks gather at the church square, for dinner and some drinks, but mostly to chat with the community people. Plus the weather is always sunny in Italy, a remarkable culture.

The BBC have some fancy new graphics for their weather forecasts. Out go the familiar symbols for rain, sun, snow etc and in come animated 3D graphics. These go “under the clouds” to show the areas of rain, sun etc.

Howdy, I don’t have time to explain exactly how Robert Pozen is a weenie idealogue in love with the sound of his own voice.
But he is the Chimperious Leader’s favorite democrat in his campaign to destroy Social Security. IMHO Pozen is just sooo right in his calculations and sooo self righteous about ignoring the practical political consequences of turning Social Security into a means indexed “poverty” program that he could use a good skewering.
