Welcome back!
This week we are continuing with the Victorian home that was the subject of the previous diary. (Seen directly below.) The painting was at the stage seen in the second photo below the at the close of last week’s installment.
Work has again proceeded slowly but there are changes to see. I’ve outlined elements of the structure and painted in the roof. The home immediately behind the subject structure has also received its first paint strokes. (Seen below.)
Of course this is, once again, the preliminary color and will change as the painting proceeds. These outlines will be minimized in time but will not completely disappear. For me, the divisions provide a rough “road map” to the elements of the stucture.
For next week I’ll start to fill in the colors and details. See you then.
Paint me a picture of your thoughts.
I haven’t commented, but I have been follwoing this painting of yours with interest. When we were kids, my dad would take us to Cape May every summer during the 2 weeks we had to spend with him. I have lots of good memories of that place! Thanks for sharing your creations!
We’ve been going there for many years. Now we get to share it with our son.
I really like the way this is coming along, it’s amazing to me how much the added definition changes the house.
