A Czech man ate frogs and other small animals for four days after he was trapped on an island cut off by flooding, the daily Pravo reported Wednesday.
Zdenek Bucek, 30, was taking a short-cut through the woods near the southeastern town of Breclav when a flood wave trapped him on a small patch of high ground.
Bucek was not carrying a cell phone and the water was too cold to swim through. To survive, he caught frogs and drank the floodwater until he flagged down an emergency crew passing by on a boat four days later.
I hope Zdenek Bucek doesn’t show up here. What’s on your mind?
this is great.
hmm… “Juanita”? Sound’s another one of those women know-it-all’s that are the bane of DeLay’s existence.
Ack, emoticon overload!
RAWSTORY reporting Judge shuts down Independent Counsel 10 Year investigation of former Clinton Administration Housing Secretary Howard Cisneros.
It’s so loooooong overdue. Just imagine the millions spent.
That’s Henry Cisneros, actually, but yeah, it’s good news.
This is like old home week. First Hightower, now Cisneros. I never knew much about Cisneros except that I used to listen to a San Antonio radio station when I lived in Austin, and since he was the mayor of San Antonio at the time he was mentioned on a regular basis.
Of course there is another former resident of central Texas who gets into the news regularly, but he didn’t live there when I did, thank FSM.

Recently, I discovered that you can now design your own postage stamps to sell at online shops such as Cafe Press and Zazzle. But there are all sorts of rules about what kinds of images you can use. They aren’t supposed to have a “political message” They also can’t display company logos or “calls to action”. Under the “what is allowed” section, I discovered that it was permissible for stamps to display pictures of your baby, pictures of your pet, or “cool art”. Of course, one person’s “cool art” might be another’s “subliminable message”.
What might this be?
