Agreed, are there any issues that would motivate progressives to vote for Casey? He seems like the same kind of person as Santorum, you can scream inclusion all you want and he has a right to be a democrat if he chooses but no one can force me to vote for someone like that. Casey doesn’t seem to share any of my core beliefs.
As one who held my nose and voted for Salazar (DINO Co) after a similar anointing by party central; and based what limited knowledge I have about this issue from reading here, especially Albert’s, CG’s, Madman, and, IMS, jPol’s writings…I would say the chances of Man-on-Dog’s cleaning Casey’s clock in Nov. are very high.
The only hope is the primaries, because I don’t see the support from the liberal/progressive re-uniting for Casey. People are pissed…rightly so. Boo, you are, I know, well aware of this…got a plan B?
(not if) Casey loses in November, count on the DLC blaming the “single issue voter” and the “sanctimonious women’s studies set”…instead of looking in the mirror and wondering why we no longer will support “Olestra Democrats”…
Phyllis Jackson was summoned to Eaton County District Court in Charlotte on Monday to answer an eviction notice.
“I don’t think they can evict her from heaven,” said her daughter, Chris Kime of Lansing, explaining that Jackson died, at age 75, on March 2.
Before taking up residence in the hereafter, Jackson lived on Lot 180 at Kensington Meadows, a mobile home park on West Jolly Road.
Kime, who handled her mother’s finances, said she customarily made the payments on the third of the month, when Jackson’s monthly Social Security arrived in her account.
Kime would have paid the March rent on March 3, except by then her mother already had moved on to a better place.
And she notified the company of her mother’s death 1 day after the grace period. Still received an eviction notice. So Kime (her daugher) called the paper. The repsonse the reporter received is
“We did not receive official notification of Ms. Jackson’s death prior to the Notice for Non-Payment of Rent being issued.
“It is not our practice to knowingly begin ‘eviction proceedings,’ as you stated, against a deceased resident.
“However, we must take action that will legally protect us, as the property owner, if we should need to remove the home from the community or apply for an abandoned title.
“In similar situations we typically work with an estate that the deceased or family members have established, or the family assumes responsibility for the monthly fees at the community.”
Kensington Meadows told Kime to remove everything from the trailer, clean it, and turn in the keys. (By March 18, all was done.)
In Saturday’s mail, there was a court summons forwarded to Kime, including a “demand for possession”, due to non-payment the rent. She is also willing to forfeit the $265.00 security deposit.
Kime’s response?
“I don’t know what they were thinking. They knew my mother was dead. That should cover it. They have the deposit and they have the home. I don’t know what more they could want.”
They try to downplay Bush job disapproval by putting it in the second paragraph after some immigration numbers:
In addition, the new poll finds that the president’s job approval rating has slipped a couple of points and currently matches an earlier low recorded back in November. Today, 36 percent of Americans say they approve of the job George W. Bush is doing as president and 53 percent disapprove.
And this was taken before the Scooter Libby shit hit the fan.

Since this is open thread, I want to tellyou all to place your orders for Russ’s sunflowers. I did, and had a great conversation with the persons taking the order. It was the first they herad of what was happening and looked it up to verify what I was saying to them. I informed them and that lead to further conversation. I have to say it was terribly interesting to say the least.
So please just say thinks to Russ, as I did and help us get a great message out. Hugs…..

Let me put it this way…if I lived there, I would NOT be voting for Casey.

I hear Chuck Pennachio is on the verge of a tremendous explosion in popularity.

you come across something like this.

Like I said, I thought I heard it all.
