Good Morning everyone!!!! I am totally exhausetd from all my galavanting last night and have two meetings today after work. LOL I missed Russ Feingold’s speech at the second event and only heard the end of John Courage’s. The first meeting was a townhall meeting with HRC and Equality Texas. I am sure I am personna non grata with the HRC crowd as I asked some hard hitting questions abouyt the direction I see from HRC. Marc from National HRC agrreed with me and my assesment and says he is working on changing it but we will see. Best way to put it is I had a BIOTCH moment and will probably not be asked questions again. LOL

We’re all fine…and now that I’m getting 8 eggs a day, sending some via UPS sounds like a great way to use them up. 🙂
when I lived full time at the farmstead I used to have some 25-30 chickens. We usually had more eggs than we knew what to do with. Wish I had that “problem” now. I can hardly stand to eat store bought anymore.
Usually the local organic store has some, but they’re getting expensive. Used to be around $2, now they’re around $3.
It is amazing how, um, different the store-bought eggs taste, isn’t it? And once you get used to fresh eggs every morning, you never get over it. 🙂

I do realize. It’s getting somewhat easier for me after having been through the text a couple of times, highlighted in yellow, then transcribed, etc.
So after all that I am getting to where I actually remember the basic concepts of it. I’m hoping I can help with Boston Joe’s committee by adding what understanding I’ve gained to that process.

But in an existing file that I’m working on if I go to x out of it, it asks if I want to save, and that works fine, so that’s what I was using. Besides mailing the docs to myself as a backup.

I’ve got a great guru, never charges me a dime for fixing anything. Says I bought it from him, so he keeps it running.
Only catch is he’s 80 miles from here, so if we can’t do it by phone I have to make a trip back to the “homeland.”
And then he’s a nightowl too, so now is too early probably to call.
Believe it or not, in my small circle of family and friends I am the guru.
Andi had made a few suggestions and I have one left to do. My problem is in a way like yours. I have to drive to the big city which is over an hour away and find a computer store that has what I’m looking for. Big city trips are rare, so it’s one of those thing I’ll get to.

Tea of the day: Empire Kemun, lovely stuff. A call from my mother woke me at 6:30 local for reasons unknown, Dr.Mc fielded the call and tried to save my sleep. I wasn’t coherent enough to pay attention, but I never did get back to sleep. So I’m more than a little fuzz-brained today. Hoping to advance the book again today, but we’ll see whether I can really wake up or not. Now I’m going to redone my cloak of +5 lurking and try to wake up.
Kansas, your new book is preordered and waiting for another friend’s release next week to go over the free shipping cost line. Looking forward to reading it. I was at Borders yesterday and was going to face* it, but the store beat me to the punch.
*For those who aren’t aware of the term, “facing” a book is turning it so that it sits front cover out rather than spine out. It increases shelf space, visibility, and sales. If you have favorite authors or author friends, facing their books is a nice little thing you can do for them when you see their stuff in stores.

Pretty day. I’m trying to motivate myself to get some cleaning done, but I’m not feeling particularly inspired about it.

Then be very happy. As is usually the case with me, the end result is what I like, and not necessarily the process. I like a clean house but not cleaning. I like being other places, but not traveling to get there.

Ooh, bad news on our AC. We had the downstairs unit replaced last year so we figured we’d just have to replace the upstairs unit now. Turns out it’s something with the furnace as well as the AC unit so both of them have to be replaced to the tune of over $5000.

No. That would involve too much energy and initiative. These are the guys that Mr. Nature has used for 18 years so I guess he trusts them.

Pilot light won’t stay light even after the burner is done heating the whole tank up. I’m guessing that the thermocouple is bad. We’ll soon see, I hope. Told them we were busy until after 1PM, hah!
