Immigration Politics Another Lost Opportunity for Dems?

In the completely dysfunctional family known as the “Democratic” Party, the issue of illegal immigration, like the issue of the Iraq War, is clear as mud, and one which the Democrats should but cannot gain any traction.

Close readers of donkeytale going back through the years may recall that there are really only two issues that shake his stick: 1. Vote only by Mail.
2. Illegal immigration.

Curiously, both issues have become increasingly public in recent times, just two more in an unending stream of examples of the public mind belatedly catching up with the asses ass, his own self.

What a refreshing and marvelous sight to see one half million illegals marching openly with their flags down the mean streets of my hometown, simply for the right to be treated like something less than dogs by our ungrateful nation of middle class schleppers, who have no problem allowing the illegals to wash the dishes, mow the grass, paint the house, roof the house, brick the house, clean the house, watch the brats, and all for a pittance, before they glady kick their sorry brown asses back to that dirt hut in Oaxaca without giving them a second thought.

Iraq? Oil crisis?Steroids?China? Bush the worst president of all time? Mere blips on the radar screen of History compared to this finally outed movement of self betterment seekers.

El Illegados? This is a defining moment in the economic history of the world. The legal fate of the illegals in our country is the single biggest moral, cultural and economic issue on this great nations plate, even if nobody really cares. Remember you read it here first.

The confounding thing to donkeytale is that President Bush is and has been consistently out front on this issue, whether right or wrong, and of course he is wrong, but while his neanderthal wing fights him tooth and nail, the Democrats’ neanderthal wing (ie Unions) keep the Dems tied down in the hopelessly ineffectual and ridiculous posturing which always helps assure good Democrats to end up where they always end up: down the electoral poop shute and out the back alley door to nowhere.
