I saw that Mentos thing on Countdown last week. Totally hilarious stuff. Almost as good as the Wintergreen Life Savers “sparks in the dark” phenomenon so highly touted back in the roaring 70’s (before O’s time, I’m sure.)
I’ll have you know that we were introduced to that by a camp counsellor when I was in junior high … he took our cabin out one night for a ‘night walk’ w/ no flashlights etc. to experience the dark in the forest.
Like why was he taking us off into the woods to eat mints … seemed sorta funny if you know what I mean … but heck, we went w/ him so that doesn’t say much about us either lol.

I’m actually hearing rumbles of thunder and a bit of rain I think is coming down now, as the radar oracle shows some little areas sliding through now. Not as much as we need, but it’s something!

Nope, no dancing for me, but a lot of hose action earlier tonight. I always call that priming the pump, but it hasn’t worked much lately, and what’s coming through now is what I’d term “desultory thundershowers.” But I’ll take what we can get.
