Welcome back!
This week we’ll be continuing with the shadowy photo of Bode skiing, seen below.
This week I’ve completed the painting. The process from start to finish is seen in the series of photos seen below. The final photo shows the finished painting slipped into a frame. Note that the photo has darkened the painting a bit.
I hope that you’ve enjoyed seeing the progress of this piece. I’ve enjoyed doing it and am satisfied but must admit my doubts about it early on.
It makes an interesting comparison to the earlier painting of Bode Miller, a rather more rigid work. This one has a looser style and feel.
Next week we’ll start something new. (We’ll be back to the southwest.) I hope that you’ll stop by.
Paint me a picture of your thoughts.
I like how you’ve show all the stages here … It’s amazing how you take it from a mostly coloured blob to the fine details …
Can’t wait to see what you select for the next project!
I wanted to let you know that I find the process and progress of each painting really fascinating. I look forward to seeing your work each week.
Thank you very much for doing this.
Good morning Mr. B2,
I hope you don’t mind if I post a couple of shots of one of my more recent boat paintjobs.
What I like about your work, and the way you present it each week, besides the great final results you always show us, is the way you show the steps and the different layers, because my stuff is done the same way. I might start with a foundation, like the orange to yellow to white fade, then I lay sharper images over that. It’s a process, just like your work.
Thanks, and nice work there :o)
This one is mine too, but I don’t care for it very much. It’s one of those that I did to customer preferences. They really should have trusted me a little more ;o)
p.s.
please forgive the Apache image. I don’t get to choose my customers by their political correctness or sensitivity. I take their money and try to get in a few words that might make them think about things for a minute. Usually a waste of time unfortunately.
Super – that is really interesting.
Please consider taking process/progress pictures of your work and doing a diary.
How do you create a design?
How do I create a design?
Usually I have three ways to go.
Now that I’ve highjacked Boran’s diary…thanks for asking ;o)
WOW!!!
You are so damn cool!!!!
Once my life gets… I dunno… I’m going to get back to sketching and painting. Cause I now have a place to share it with friendly souls.
Wait a tick, I’m going to try to photograph a chalk on black that DanDan did. We had it framed I loved the flow of it.
It’s beautiful!
Amazing what a liberal mind is capable of huh?
Makes ya wonder doesn’t it? ;o)
I love that bottom photo! Can you do my Mazda like that?
Sure can!! :o)
No, I’m not a parent who frames or keeps every scrap of paper or arts and craft their child does, but this one SANG out to us all.
(Sorry about the flash, I’m a goober)
is protest signs and bridge banners… :*(
This one is another Danni made for my trip to Ft. Lewis. Her little hands of peace rather than bloody handprints.
