I used to library years ago (in Austin) at the public library as a graphic designer. Now I stay at home with my two-year old-daughters in Menlo Park. Their mother libraries here on the peninsula.
Its nice having our own private thread to discuss these weighty matters!
Heck Ya!!! We’ve been talking about a meet-up in the Bay Area for over a year. It’s high time we organize one. :>)
I’d love to host one, but my new apt. is kind of small and has little access to the great outdoors. But, it is centrally located in Oakland and relatively easy highway and mass transit access (x-bay bus, and about 1.5 miles from BART). Then again, meeting in a park or other cultural center is always an option.
My apartment is small too. I like the park idea. How about a picnic at Kirby Cove in the Marin Headlands? It’s beeyootiful there and reachable by public transit (Muni line #76) on Sundays. The downside is that it’s a steep walk that people with disabilities would likely find difficult, but if someone has a DMV disability placard we can get the combo for the locked gate, for car access.
Kyl is catching all kinds of hell from GOPers in Arizona regarding his role in the immigration “compromise” in the Senate. Tedski has the pic of the state Republican Party Chair displaying a one-fingered salute that was aimed at the junior Senator.

Sometimes weeks go by before a new post on the West side catches my eye.
We should have a BooTrib NorCal meetup this summer I think.
Any interest?

Or if not, there are so many other nice places…
I like the idea of a meet-up.
I always think everybody should go to the beach.
A park would be good too.
I always think everybody should go to the beach.
