I might be able to host here and there but not on a consistent basis. My schedule is highly unpredictable.
hi b2! my schedule is the same and promises to get worse after the new year. i can help with the wagon, but can’t do it every week. let’s see if we get any more volunteers, otherwise I’ll send over an email to see you and i can work out to keep things running.

Hi Omir! It’s not worth a whole lot in my estimation, you’d be a great host regardless of how much lurking you’ve been doing lately. 😉 Maybe it could inspire you to do some storytelling (hint, hint – in neon flashing lights)

Well, thank you. It’s nice to know that someone thinks of me in terms that don’t involve “that so-and-so owes me money.”
You’ll be glad to know that we’re going to have a proper Christmas feast this year — fajitas, tamales, and chili con queso. OK, so the fajitas will be made with beef brisket rather than flank steak (about 2/3 the price and the way we cook it it’s going to fall apart anyway) and the tamales come straight from the freezer at Cash & Carry, but hey, at least the pico de gallo and chili con queso will be homemade, right? (I need to figure out how much chili powder you use to substitute for a properly charred serrano chile, though — my wife doesn’t react well to whole chiles or peppers, although chili powder is OK.) And no, our recipe for chili con queso does not call for a can of chili con carne (or Ro-tel tomatoes) and a pound of Velveeta. I do have some dignity.
mmmmmm. definitely proper. I’m eating a tamale and egg mixed together for dinner tonight – breakfast is best served at night, in my opinion 🙂
I would try half a teaspoon of the chili power. You can always add more heat if you need it.

Hi CG, so glad to hear the good news about your son. My daughter had complications that lasted for about a month and was pretty awful for her..she had lap method as well but they didn’t get it all (it ruptured prior to surgery).
Knitting, I am working on 7th and 8th neck scarf now, have completed 6…Just started knitting a month ago so it’s quite amazing me and of course it’s obsessive, which is a problem I have, lol.
then I started to make jewelry to give as gifts and that got out of hand too, have made about 10 necklaces, 2 sets of earrings and one bracelet.
well now my shoulder is hurting from all the knitting, so I am having to take it easy for a few days till it heals.
Anyways, I am prepared to take a leap into the pond next week with ww, if that’s ok with manee.
