Hmm…how about you take a quick peek around the political blogosphere and just remind yourself that you’re way fresher than most of the conversations that are going on today?  😉

It’s still chilly here…do you think it will warm up for the weekend?

How is the search going?  And how are those diva dogs of yours?

Catching up on the blogging thing shouldn’t take long… in the words of the Talking Heads ‘same as it ever was’.

No thanks. That’s something I am carefully avoiding.

Instead I think I’ll freshen up by taking in some fresh spring growth.

It warmed up here but it’s going to rain.

Okay off to say to RF and then outta here and into the woods.

Wireless (or a very long cable) and a laptop will get you outside.

I did this years ago when I lived in a trailer in the middle of nowhere. On sunny days I sit out under the trees.

        • Second Nature
Second Nature on May 2, 2008 at 9:01 am

I am groggy and crabby and out of half and half for my morning coffee.

I’m also trying to decide if it’s worth waiting 3 or 4 hours at the jefferson jackson dinner to hear Obama and Clinton speak….

          • CabinGirl
CabinGirl on May 2, 2008 at 9:18 am

Sorry about the lack of cream in your coffee. :/

I’m crabby because some underaged bozo around here reset my preferences so that my computer was talking to me for every action I took.  grr.  It’s like changing the position of the driver’s seat in my car…people just shouldn’t do it if they value their lives.

Regarding Jefferson-Jackson, which one goes first?  Oh, who am I kidding – you need to listen to both of them and give us a report back.  🙂

Thanks! The white dogwoods are in full bloom, punctuated here and there by the pink hybrids. Here’s a big wisteria that grows about a block from our house. The blooms almost look liquid.

Love wisteria and look how tall it is … That is gorgeous!

I can’t tell from the photo – is it growing up the brick or on something else? I’ve never seen one so big! My friends have a small one growing which has really impacted the brick structure it has twined around etc.

I’ve decided not to complain any more about all that rain we got because it sure has led to a gorgeous spring. Everything seems to have leafed out, blossomed, sprouted, seeded, and every other kind of growing. On our walk today we even found some pawpaws trees that had flowered — we hardly ever see those.

          • Indianadem
Indianadem on May 4, 2008 at 2:59 pm

I don’t mind the rain so much, as I’m usually glued to a computer screen anyway. There used to be a paw paw behind a house on our block I’ll have to look to see if its still there. I think this afternoon might be a good time to plant some dark hollyhocks.
