I don’t know if she is the Don Rickles of politics but I think she would do well to retake Culture 101 especially the part on Greeks and the Trojan War. I don’t think she knows who Achilles was and that’s why she completely misunderstood the question on her Achilles heel. If you recall, she blathered on about several various accomplishments and positions of hers.
Sadly, she really is the beauty queen bimbo whom Nemesis, I think, had a hand in selecting for her current role. Woe to America should McCain win for I think his time in the White House would be extremely limited. The Fates are involved in this election.
You’re so right. I was thinking more along the lines of Tracy Flick from “Election” or Suzanne Stone from “To Die For.” (And today, one of the progressive talk shows discussed “Bob Roberts” and “A Face in the Crowd.”) “Serial Mom” works as well. She’s as two-faced and as dangerous as any and all of them. If she was only just a character in a movie I would be a lot happier.
Absolutely not. Marge Gunderson was intelligent and honest and compassionate and courageous. She was a remarkable character, played with genius by McDormand. Except for Palin’s accent, there no analogy that can be drawn between the two.
Or as I maintain, Kirstie Alley in Drop Dead Gorgeous. I think her behavior would have been overlooked if SNL hadn’t nailed her t the wall on the ‘Do you realize you get more adorable when cornered?” “pew pew“!” She way too overfolksy when cornered and it showed a huge lack of sincerity. Couple that with her lies and the should-be-illegal mangling of the English language, we have a politician who can’t even be the typical fake politician on a national level.

I quote: “. . . should McCain win . . .” should read “. . . when the Republicans steal the election for the third time . . .”
I stand corrected. How could I be so naieve? Just spending too much time studying the classics, I guess.
Speaking of classics, I just re-read “The Golden Ass” by Lucius Apulius. What a riot!
That, sir, is a serious insult to Don Nickles.
Pointing out that I typed a N instead of an R is sexist…btw.
Don Rickles has talent and is funny.
She’s more like the Serial Mom of American politics.

Palintology. n.
The science of staying the course.
She reminds me of the preggers sherrif in Fargo…
No way. Marge Gunderson was intelligent.

It’s the accent, nothing more.
She reminds me of my sister-in-law — clueless and drunk.

Dude, I know who Don Rickles is, but you lost me on this one.
Her performance last night was one big insult of our intelligence.
