The heat came on here this morning…it’s a bit crisp outside this morning.

Crisp?  It was 41 degrees here!  Ice on the windshield!  Yikes!

Egads!  I don’t think we’ve had our first frost yet, although it has gotten decidedly cooler in the last week.

        Great walking weather!

The rains have passed and its now sunny and pleasant. Guess I’ll go plant a few yard signs. The ground should be softened up a little and less like concrete!

    Wow, you guys have seasons.
It`s about 80 degrees here on the coast in Malibu.
The huge Red Tail Hawk is riding the air rising from the heat in the canyon between the back deck & the ocean waves, which I can hear
in stereo, being on an isthmus. At night the stereo symphony, is joined by the the harmonics of barking seals & yipping coyotes.
The capper is that I`m home, taking a few days away from my project which now looks like this.
I included a special one for andif.

Well let me expand on that thought for you.
You can use these for different moods.
There are more images connected to any of these.
These are from three or four different ponds & falls.
I probably have 9/10 sets of different pond images.

Indianadem on October 13, 2008 at 11:52 am

Mr. Grandma Barnes went by the nickname “Wash” (pronounced Warsh). According to legend, he did something that so annoyed his wife Mary, that she divided the cabin down the middle and assigned a side to each of them. She never set foot on his side again, nor he hers. When Wash died, the undertaker had to move his body out a window to avoid passing through Mary’s side of the cabin;-)

From The Ballad of Wash & Mary Barnes

I’ll tell you the story of Wash and Mary Barnes
Wash crafted his brooms and his spell-binding yarns
Mary planted flowers by the gate and the well
Why they didn’t speak to each other – nobody could tell

Wash died so quiet alone in his chair
Mary sent word to me and just left him there
She’d not let him pass through her front door
I had to take him out his window to my buckboard
