Just didn’t have anything to say so I was waiting for someone else to say something.

Good morning. Those waffles look yummy.

Well I hope you had some nice waffles to put some nice jam on.

Heh.  I fell back to sleep, and now I’m trying to convince the teenage boys that I helped make Hallwoeen costumes last night that they should make me some. 🙂

Good morning ladies.  Just passing through looking for doggy photos.  Nice to see y’all up and about before the sun.  Somehow I find myself out of the eastern time zone into the central, adjusting to the lag slowly.  I’ve got nothing to say, but it’s okay.

Did you see this doggy pic?

And here’s one of Bebo to start your Sunday.

Thanks Andi.  It’s just not right to have to live without dogs – I miss having a pack around.  Ah well, everything changes.

Keep those pics coming.  Bebo’s got the most wonderful ears.

No problem Alice — I’m always taking pictures of the dogs. 🙂

Are waffles in your plans today?

French toast is on the brunch menu today. I throw in a little nutmeg & cinnamon to make it interesting. My mother thinks its gourmet fare.

          Sounds yummy.

I have the waffle iron fired up for when my Halloween costume-makers come in from mulching up the leaves with the lawn mower.  ðŸ˜‰

It’s obviously Monday, since no one here wants to get out of bed today…someone (CBtY) stayed up until 2 on Saturday night watching the baseball game, and now we must pay for that..

    • AndiF
AndiF on October 27, 2008 at 6:54 am

      I sympathize — it’s 38 here and with the blowing wind, it’s a windchill 29. Who’d want leave a toasty bed.

      • CabinGirl
CabinGirl on October 27, 2008 at 6:58 am

Well, if someone is busy sawing logs in the toasty bed, its much easier to leave.  Ask me how I know.

I guess this means the cold weather will be setting in here tonight.  Sigh.

For me, it’s a wriggling Bebo.

Sorry to tell you but our first hard freeze is coming tonight so time to put on your jammies with feet.

Ah, the dog alarm…we have 3 of those too.  ðŸ™‚

I guess we can have our inaugural fire in the fireplace tonight too, then.

    Good morning everyone.

I haven’t been by in awhile and since it appears I’m having a late night, I wanted to drop a line in case I’m asleep when everyone drops by in the morning.

Things here are going OK.  I’m supposed to go and see about a part time job tomorrow.  I’m sure I’ve already got it, but I would gladly win the lottery instead. 🙂

George and I have had the house to ourselves for about a month, but my brother and sil came to stay for awhile the other day.  It’s kind of nice to have them here at the moment, but I’m not sure how long that will last.

Other than that, everything is going good, and I hope all of you are fine.

Been missing you and I hope I’m going to miss you now because you’re getting some sleep.

Glad to hear about the job and sorry to hear about the end of your retirement.

I hope the nice-to-have-the-rels feeling lasts a long time. 🙂

      Good morning, FM and Andi!
Good to see you coming by, FM. And good luck (I guess) in finding that job.
Ugh, new modem not yet arrived and piggybacking on the neighbors’ signal only works from the bedroom – and only intermittently.

      • AndiF
AndiF on October 28, 2008 at 6:41 am

Bummer about the modem — it sounds like being on satellite internet when it rains.

    • boran2
      boran2 on October 28, 2008 at 9:34 am

A j-j-job?!!!  I hope that there will still be time for slacking.

  8. CabinGirl
CabinGirl on October 28, 2008 at 6:53 am

FM, it’s so good to see you-and I hope you were able to fall asleep!  Congrats on the part-time job.  What are you going to be doing?

Andi, your cold and rainy weather arrived just in time to delay the Phillies World Series win by at least a day.  :/  Now, we’re just hoping that the winds that are predicted don’t mean a day spent at the library due to a power outage.

Ask, I hope your modem comes today.  Not being able to rely on internet access would drive me crazy, especially the week before the election.

    • JimF
JimF on October 28, 2008 at 6:30 pm

Phillies win now delayed by 2 days. Remember the Phillies are playing a Florida team; the pitchers must watch out for hanging chads curves.

Good morning all! Family Man, ack! a job? Hope its one that allows at least occasional slacking;-)
