Senate Judiciary chair, Patrick Leahy, held a hearing this morning to discuss whether or not to conduct an investigation of the Bush administration’s flagrant, morally reprehensible, and anti-Constitutional lawbreaking. Some witnesses said ‘yes’, some witnesses said ‘no’. A lot of the debate centered on whether to do the investigation in order to ‘learn lessons’ or in order to prosecute the bums and vindicate our nation’s honor. In any case, Mark Halperin didn’t notice. He was too busy covering Michelle Obama’s arms (aren’t they gorgeous?) and Rush Limbaugh’s big mouth.

The First Lady is magnetic. Ooh, la la.
As for the hearing, it’s blatantly obvious that a special prosecutor is needed. That there isn’t one tells me that the hearing was just political theater. There’s no will to investigate, so nothing’s going to come of it.
It’s up to some enterprising soul elsewhere in the world to do what we can’t, prosecute those Bushie animals for war crimes since we can’t do it ourselves.
No one talks about Rush’s arms.
I can’t joke about the First Lady or indulge any of my silly jokes about her because she exudes such class and I have a ton of respect for her husband.
Contrast that with my torrid affair with La Belle Palin. Yee haw.
Gee thanks for implanting that imagine in my head BooMan..if I have nightmares tonight I’ll know who to blame.
I clicked on the link and The Page now has a piece on Rush Limbaugh challenging our President to a debate. Hmm, as the Administration has (accurately) identified the Republican Party as the party of Rush, that would seem to make sense. As Rush has never really debated anyone (His shtick is to either talk into the microphone by himself or to interview friendly subjects like Cheney), it’s hard to see why that would be a good use of Obamas’ time.
Hey, Obama can refer to the precedent Bush set with Cindy Sheehan! “I don’t have to talk with anybody I don’t want to.”
As to investigations of Bush and company, the Empire doesn’t admit to mistakes and it doesn’t apologize to anyone for anything at anytime. Come on people, get with it.
