In the category of what planet is he living on?
[Sen. Bill] Nelson [D-FL], a relatively centrist Democrat, suggested that while Obama has centrist instincts, he’s allowing the party’s liberal base to exert too much influence.
“I think he’s allowed the left wing [to] pull him too much in that direction,” Nelson said. “But he always comes back into the center.”
What issue has Obama let the left wing pull him on?
Left Wing (noun): (1) Anything not expressly endorsed by the Republican Party.

I watched an excellent interview on BBC via satellite television. Unfortunately, program cannot be viewed on the Internet.
Sarah Montague interviews Howard Dean, the former Democratic Party chairman, and asks him what will happen to health care reform and his views on the future of President Obama’s administration. The President has launched a major war on Wall Street, but in the wake of the shock defeat for the Democrats in Massachusetts, and with Obama’s poll ratings plummeting, is it enough to please voters?
"But I will not let myself be reduced to silence."
What did he have to say?
BTW, BBC interviews intelligent people. OTOH, this morning on Bloomberg radio, my ears were assaulted by an interview with Grover Norquist. Before you ask, yes, he spouted a lot of easily verifiable lies, like Massachusetts voters don’t want any government involvement with their healthcare. Also, he doesn’t think Obama is a Liberal. He thinks Obama is a Socialist. At least Bloomberg has a little humor in the morning.

Paradise.
That’s where he is; Villager Paradise.
If he’s still singing this tune in 2012, he’s likely to go the way of Blanche Lincoln. Republican-lite just doesn’t cut it anymore.
Well, we haven’t invaded Iran yet. Clearly that means there’s nothing but Dirty F’ckin Hippies in the Obama administration.
I can’t believe this centrist BS. Republicans can rule from the hard right for years. And Democrats can’t get their SH%% together, because their always trying to get Republican Support.
Leads me to believe the Democrats are afraid of being the majority party.
Hey look, Obama just can’t help his leftist tendencies:

If this seriously happens without a jobs bill or any QE from the Fed, fuck this president. I will actively sign up with FDL.
Seriously, what is a senator like Nelson (or Conrad or Landrieu) even in favor of? When he has to go campaign, what does he tell people he is going to do?
“I’m a centrist. Whatever is the middle ground, as defined by corporate interests and media, I’m right there. I’m all over it. I’m the most moderate, centrist pol you can find. Absolutely nobody is more middle of the road than me.”
How does kneecapping your own party motivate voters? I’m genuinely confused. How damaged is our country that an entire field of political discourse is treated with contempt not only by the opposition and the corporate media, but by senior members of the party ostensibly representing those people?
