maybe shrill isn’t so bad. if this tirade was about hr 3596, it passed 406-19. so one hell of a lot of RATs voted for it. thomas doesn’t have the roll call up yet.

The roll call is up for HR4626: Health Insurance Industry Fair Competition Act.  (I almost couldn’t find it because the number was changed.  Anyone know why?)

It’s not at all surprising to see who voted against the bill:  Boehner, Ryan (WI), Franks (AZ), King (IA), Sensenbrenner, Paul, Westmoreland. But I will have to admit I’m surprised at the large number of Republicans who voted for it.

Here’s where I wish we had a clone of Booman, so he could explain a bit on what when on between 3596 and HR 4626!

Perhaps, but these days stating the obvious fact that we already have single-payer health care and we just need to permit everyone in America the option to enroll in it if they so choose is considered shrill, so who can tell what is truly shrill any more.

Naturally, a (fellow) New Yorker would be the one to state things plainly, and accurately.

Honestly, by the time he was done I wanted to kiss him. Or at least shake his hand.

And he actually sugar-coated it a bit. Were I in his shoes I might have just said “You’re all a bunch of ho’s.”

Reason number #1,231,827,593 why I’m not in Congress…

shrill? you say that like it’s a bad thing. come on, we can’t all be reserved and composed and intellectual. it’s nice to see some fire from our side, even if it makes some of us squeamish.
