All Israeli prime ministers and their political parties since 1967 have considered Jerusalem the sole property of Jewish Israel, and that includes East Jerusalem. Since the 1948 armistice, East Jerusalem was an exclusively Arab or Palestinian enclave. Many of East Jerusalem’s residents were Palestinian refugees from West Jerusalem and other part of original Palestine, who were the victims of the 1948 ethnic cleansing of families from their homes and villages in what subsequently became Israel.
The short video shown above is a geographic presentation of Israel’s colonization of East Jerusalem since the occupation that began after the 1967 war. It reveals how the ethnic cleansing resumed after 1967 and how the Palestinians in East Jerusalem were removed and/or subjected to Apartheid, which had already become a reality in Israel.

As the discussion of settlements and a ‘settlement freeze’ continues, it is clear than many people are unaware of the complex reality that Israel has imposed over time. In this video produced by the Palestine Center, we hope to provide a quick but detailed tool for understanding the extent of Israeli control on Occupied Jerusalem for journalists, educators and all others who seek to understand this critical issue.

IDF order will enable mass deportation of Palestinians from West Bank
Oh my God, they’re doing it: transfering Palestinians out of the West Bank. We heard of this ethnic cleansing tactic proposed by Israel’s racist FM Avigdor Lieberman, but no one thought it could ever become a reality.

The IDF is ready to implement the order, which is not intended to apply to Israelis, but to illegal sojourners in Judea and Samaria.
Does anyone know how long has the Israeli government been using the phrase “Judea and Samaria” in official statements? Maybe I’ve just been missing it.
Thanks for catching that.
The Israeli government has been using the term Judea and Samaria for decades, so I think you’ve just been missing it.
At least since the reign of Menachum Begin in the 1970s. It was Begin who also cautioned Israelis to call them (Palestinians) “Arabs.” Palestine no longer existed. It was an obvious attempt to disenfranchise the Palestinians of any claims to original Palestine but also to dissolve an entire people.
