I think Mitt Romney is wasting his time campaigning in Pennsylvania. And the whole idea of him shopping at WaWa is kind of a joke. Don’t get me wrong; I love WaWa. It’s a great company that runs the best convenience stores in the business. It’s not even close. But Romney would probably never lower himself to eat anything they have to offer. It also reinforces the impression that he thinks he’s too good to shop at 7-Eleven. One interesting thing to note is that he is touring Pennsylvania with Tim Pawlenty by his side. No one here really knows who Tim Pawlenty is, though, so I’m not sure it is very helpful to have him along for the ride. But it could be a test-run to see if they work well together as a team.

Sorry, but Sheetz > WaWa in every way except for maybe sandwiches. But since Sheetz sells every kind of food you could possibly want when you’re on a car ride, it’s irrelevant. Their hashbrowns and burritos are awesome. $1 hashbrowns with a $3 burger? What’s not to like?
And regarding PA, the only reason I actively encourage the media to hype it was being a “swing state” is for this reason: Republicans always waste their resources there, and then they lose by 10+ points. It also might encourage otherwise slacking voters to get out. So let Mitt Romney waste all the time he wants. The concern trolls do get to me sometimes, though. “ZOMG PA IS IN DANGER!!!”
Is that a Virginia outfit?
Sheetz started in Altoona, PA back in the 1950s. It’s WaWa out east, and Sheetz in the west.
Sorry, but Wawa and its full service slice-the-meat-in-front-of-you sandwich shop rokks. Sheetz and Wawa don’t overlap much anyway except near Reading and Lancaster.
I have no idea how Subway gets a foothold in Philly with Wawa, Lee’s Hoagies, and every other superior mom-and-pop shop around.
Yes, if I want a sandwich, I’ll pick WaWa. The problem is that I usually want breakfast food, and Sheetz sells it 24/7 🙂
Hmm, hey is the hardrive erasing thing true, or just snark? I assumed it was snark but you never can tell.
Well, Mitt and his team when he was MA guv have some experience in scrubbing electronic files, like emails. Not sure if they got around to erasing hard drives.
Is Pawlenty going to be his Veep selection? Talk about a warm plastic bag of crushed valium and vaseline…
They’re holding out hope he can flip something in the midwest and trying to help that with a VP selection, but they can’t upstage a very mediocre candidate. So they settle on the one guy who couldn’t get anything going in that freakshow of a primary.
