You wonder why the various Occupy movements have failed to win in the streets?
It’s because what you will see in the following video didn’t happen in the streets. People were too terrified of the urban police forces. Why? Because the terroristic random beatings, stop-and-frisks and and shootings by urban police forces have been so thoroughly reported by the equally terroristic media, that’s why.
Watch it. Don’t turn your spoiled little kneejerk leftiness noses up at the fact that it was posted by Alex Jones and InfoWars or the other fact that most of the people in this particular demonstration were white and probably more right wing than left wing. If it had been played on CBS and the rest of the mass media this country would be much better off. But it wasn’t. So stop, look and listen. A bunch of white working class adults faced down a highly armed set of representatives from the coming police state. As one of the demonstrators shouts at about 3:11 of the video, “Go home!!! Go back to Washington. Go back to China. You scumbags!!!” This will be happening in the cities eventually, I believe. Ya gotta believe. Either that or eventually surrender to a nationwide police state.
We are better than China. This could have been a rural Tianamen Square, but it wasn’t. The Paper Tiger brigade folded. Stand the fuck up. Ya gotta believe!!!
And…WTFU!!!
AG
Most of y’all have already folded your tents and walked away. Most of America has done the same thing.
So it it goes.
Down like a motherfucker.
Watch.

States rights again, eh Arthur? Sorry, I’m very fond of you, but the drama of revolution is over for me now.
I like peace, love and community nowadays.
Those ranchers want to deny that some of that grazing land belongs to (measly little capitalist) me.
Those cops are what I pay taxes for. They’re on my side – protecting my property rights.
Keep watching, Alice. That land “belonged” to no one for hundreds of years. It was just barely grazeable cattle land and those hundreds of years of custom said that it “belonged” to whoever used it. Then Big Gov…this time in the person of Harry Reid, but it could just as well have been someone like Mitch McConnell if the same kind of thing happened in Kentucky…stepped in with “a plan.” All about money, not about working Americans. Only…these working Americans said “Hell no!!!”
And they won!!! A single battle, anyway.
Will they continue winning as the PermaGov backdoors them in one of its usual manners? Maybe not. They would have a much greater chance…as would we all…of winning if victories like this were widely publicized in the media. But of course that is not going to happen as long as big money runs the media show. Instead we will get slick cop dramas glorifying the instruments of our oppression and news that slants everything towards the (owned lock, stock and barrel) Corporate/PermaGov center.
Read this.
(The same land that was the focal point of this little standoff.)
And this as well.
It’s on, Alice, and the much-reviled “right” is on the good foot side of the controversy this time. It would be wonderful if the left was in the same place.
Maybe next week.
Maaaaaybe next week…
And then again…maybe not.
Whaddayou think?
Sad.
Later…

I have no respect for those who align themselves with the white supremacists, misogynists, 2nd amendment assholes.
You do the “aligning,” Marie2…in obedience to the media’s dictated information. How do you know they’re “2nd amendment assholes?” Because they are rural white people? Working people? Who is the collectivist now? Ask the women of the community if it is misogynistic. In my experience, rural women don’t take shit from anyone. White supremacists? I’ll betcha half the people in that film have Native American/Mexican blood, and I’d further bet that if a rural black or Hispanic group had volunteered to stand by their side in that confrontation they would have been welcomed with open arms.
I ask again…who’s the collectivist now?
Ron Paul on the floor of the House of Representatives. (Emphases mine.):
AG
And exactly when and where have you had such experience?
You seem not to know anything about women in general and you are clueless about western rural cultures.
All of that aside, it’s your idealization of a pissant like Rand Paul and continuing need to shill for him that creeps me out. Too many echoes of the brownshirt from the last century for me.
Yeah!!!
And his father, too!!!
Real brownshirt echoes here!!!
You are without a clue.
AG
Oh, good Lord, please to be fucking off now, AG.
RON PAUL OPPOSED THE CIVIL RIGHTS ACT AND SPOKE TO IT ON THE HOUSE FLOOR IN 2004. It’s on his website. He and his movement are PROUD of his vicious racism.
http://www.ronpaul.com/on-the-issues/civil-rights-act/
He also was one of the very few members of Congress who voted against renewing the Voting Rights Act in 2006.
Answer to these. This should be a fascinating set of rationalizations.
Sometimes it is good to remind the good folks here of the Ron Paul Megapost. It won’t matter to AG, but just for those who might unwittingly get sucked in to the Ron/Rand Paul hype, it might make a difference.
Yep, and citing Alex Jones as a primary source – never wise. But yeah, you’re right – this is a case of a rancher who wants a free lunch, for his cattle anyway. The right-wing media sources are playing this up as a case of “liberty” when really this joker is little more than a two-bit thief, who under different circumstances (say, grazing on another rancher’s land) would be hardly a cause célèbre.
