Hello again painting fans.
This week I will be continuing with the painting of the Cape May, New Jersey mansion. The photo that I’m using is seen directly below. I’ll be using my usual acrylic paints on a 8×10 inch canvas.
When last seen the painting appeared as it does in the photo seen directly below.
Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.
For this week’s cycle I have concentrated my efforts on setting all the lines on the house in paint. I intend to paint this rather loosely despite what may now seem highly detailed. I’m going to confine myself to a larger brush to insure that things don’t get too fussy. I have also painted in the first layer of blue paint for the sky.
The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.
I’ll have more progress to show you next week. See you then.
Earlier paintings in this series can be seen here. (Currently under reconstruction.)
Open it is.
I am swamped. I have no shortage of photos. I do have a shortage of time. Maybe a foto flog will happen next Friday. Maybe not. I will be in the same situation next month as well. I’ll put one up if I can. Just comes with the nature of working in the public service sector – I have my day job and then I end up having to pick up side gigs as needed to pay the bills.
“I do have a shortage of time.”
Would you like me to pick up the next Midweek Cafe and Lounge? I have a theme planned for the music videos nominated at the Costume Designers Guild Awards and Makeup and Hair Stylists Guild Awards, although I could save the second for February 28th if you wish for me to pick that one up, too.
By all means. Please. That will be deeply appreciated.
Thanks, I’ll do it. Hope you like Katy Perry; her videos are nominated at both awards shows.
I’m employed by local government but also have a second career selling on eBay.
Used to sell a few things on Ebay once upon a time.
I was looking for the house in the painting, but couldn’t find it. Beaver Cottage, the house Vila tours at the end, is close, but no cigar.
Thanks!
