Hi music lovers!
Some early Aphex Twin to start things off:
Since I always program these to start at midnight, I thought it appropriate to open with some night music. Feel free to add vids of your favorite tunes in the comments below. Booman’s been having fun adding some Grateful Dead. There is no theme other than eclecticism.
The jukebox and bar are open. Have a good time and be responsible (we can do both).
Cheers!
Some vintage night music – Jah Wobble and Pharoah Sanders. This is one I loved to spin on my radio show.

“The jukebox and bar are open.” Since Don Durito requested a White Russian, here’s “How to make a Black Russian & White Russian” from Tipsy Bartender.

The video even mentions that it’s the favorite drink of The Dude in “The Big Lewbowski.”
At my house we’ve tried both recipes. Highly approved.
Did someone say White Russian?
There are a lot ins, a lot of outs, and a lot of what-have-yous.
Pharoah Sanders back in the early 1970s:

After staying healthy for a year, I finally succumbed to one of those darned sinus infections. That is slowing me down a lot. I hope the week has been better for the rest of you.
I’ll keep this one open til Wednesday, then start a new one. Got a kid heading back to campus. The others are not far away from moving out and moving on. Circle of life.
Seems to be an appropriate theme song for the weekend:

Well, look at what happened here!
I remember that video. Saw Malcom McLaren speak around 1990. Say what you will about the guy and his work, but he was surely entertaining as a public speaker.
I always thought this was cool – Latvian tape jockeys:

That Iron Curtain was pretty porous towards the end of the 1980s.
New cafe/lounge in just a half hour. Stay tuned…
