It’s probably because FM hasn’t been around to set the proper tone for napping.

The Pack insists that the actual proper tone to set is for walking. They say not only is it time for me to go but you ought to, too.

          Ta.

It’s bedtime here.  Luna’s been in most of the evening because of a light rain outside.  I hope this doesn’t mean she’ll want out in the middle of the night.  With any luck it will rain all night (and the dog won’t want to go out in it, which will require much toweling when she wants to come back in).

            Imogen’s back tomorrow. Yay!

I’ve got to make an early parts run to Hobart, so that I can have the bathroom ceiling re-wired before she gets home.  I know, other people get flowers for their sweeties – I get building materials.

            ‘Night all.

Hi keres (if you aren’t already asleep).

I’m glad Imogen’s coming back tomorrow…and I think it’s cool that you want to have things re-wired as a surprise when she gets home.

We’re having a high humidity day here…it feels like WE need toweling off when we come inside from the heat.

We’ve got a light rain happening and it looks like it’s been going all night.  Yay, I don’t have to order water just yet (which saves us a hundred bucks). I love free water.

My appologies to all of you with humidity.  I hate humidity with a passion.

          Morning Andi, FM, and keres!

We got a hug thunderstorm with torrential downpour and winds last night…I’m hoping it clears up the humidity for today.

Rafting and bouldering are on the agenda for CBtE and CBtY today…

Family Man on June 28, 2007 at 7:33 am

They would have to be very low for me. That’s hard to believe that’s a city park.  It looks really good.

When CBtE was small, I lived a few blocks from one end of it…which of course saved me from going crazy living in the city.  We were over there all the time.

When I lived in Wiesbaden, GE I used to walk down to the Rhine river every afternoon.  It was about a mile one way.  I always walked through this park by the Rhine that had a very large pond in it with a small castle on an island.  I used to love that walk, but it had one draw back.  You really had to watch where you put your feet.  I don’t know if it has changed, but back then the sidewalks and paths were fair game for dog owners to let their dogs do their business.

Unlike you, I have a small house and the downstairs is basically one big room so where everything is is pretty obvious. That’s the good news, the bad news is the house is small and the downstairs is basically one big room — no place to hide.

(How unprepared are we for having crowds stay over — well, we had to tell my sister to bring towels with her because we don’t have enough.)

No tourists here, unless you want to count the birds — who do always seem to be going for the food just like the tourists — and chipmunks who do seem to spend most of their time driving the residents (the dogs) crazy.

I don’t mind laundry at all — you throw it in the washer, wait awhile, and then throw it in the dryer, wait some more time, and then spend a couple of minutes folding it. It’s just about the most slackerly household chore there is.

          • Family Man
Family Man on July 1, 2007 at 10:17 am

I have to agree with that, plus washing dishes now with a dishwasher.

Nah, you live in “town” — we country folk are cheap, cheap, cheap.

Heck if I lived in the country, I wouldn’t worry about the lawn at all.  I’d get a couple of goats.

I agree.  Now if only somoene would fold it and put it away for me…

That’s one of my complaints on laundry.  That plus the little ironing I do.

            CBs don’t have fingers! 😉

Bile riding is definitely on my dance card for today.  The weather is gorgeous, the humidity is low, and the CBs are away for the day.

The creativity in those is incredible, isn’t it?

Yesterday morning, while returning home with biscuits & gravy from a nearby cafe, I spotted this unusual scene by the county courthouse. Naturally, I ran home for the camera.

Wow and people think we’re eccentric down here. 🙂

Well, my first thought was of all the hoopla in the MSM back in the 1990’s about the plight of homeless people and how that problem must have been solved, as we don’t hear a peep about it these days.

Maybe someone thinks down and out folks are still around and need a little comfort, but maybe its just my leftie imagination at work.

I didn’t get a clear enough view at first and thought it was a couple there to get married or something.

I think the woman is showing what what happens when you eat too many of the fried biscuits at the Nashville House.
