But Frist was performing the even more ancient animal sacrifice, followed by the laying on of cats. I believe it’s a subspecialty offered at Hollywood Upstairs Medical College. Frist probably learned it from a matchbook course (“if you can draw this dead cat you could be a medical-type-person”) sponsored by Nick Riviera.
From Lee Scott, Wal-Mart CEO, speaking about why so many Wal-Mart employees use public assistance for their health care needs:
“There are government assistance programs out there that are so lucrative it’s hard to be competitive, and it’s expensive to be competitive”
It’s truly incredible that the CEO of a company with $10 billion in profits thinks that it is OK to push his company’s health care costs on to American taxpayers.
What a stupid bastard-I hope that quote makes news(but won’t hold my breathe on that either). Lucrative my ass. I’m sure people on medicaid for example are thinking that their living it up on their lucrative coverage…Maybe Mr. CEO man should just go on some of those programs himself …hard to respond to that as it’s just so freaken wrong. Mr. Scott shows himself to be well suited to be CEO of Wal-Mart with that statement. Good article.

I usually have the sound off on my tv, while leaving it on the cable news channels during the day and I happened to glance over at it tonight and saw Jane Fonda on Larry King…so what you say..well the thing is that the blurb underneath her said something to the effect of her talking about this/that and also her christian faith.
I like discussing religion here but just to have everyone continually asked nowadays about their faith as part of any interview just really freakin irks me. Besides what are most people going to say..hell no I hate religion on national tv…I don’t thinnnnnnnnk so.
Now what has my panties in a mini-uproar is just the fact that everywhere you go anymore it seems you’re asked about your faith. As if it’s become unpatriotic and wrong not to be yaking about it all the time. And all that time spent yaking about it when you could be ‘doing’ some good deed is another story I guess.
And while I like Jane Fonda that blurb continually running under so pissed me off I never turned the sound on…then again I gathered also she was promoting her movie with J-Lo, ‘Mother-in-Law’ and I rather detest J-Lo so I guess I didn’t miss much.
This guy really is semi-literate…the word is <u>ascribe</u>, not subscribe.
my html is showing.
Preview is your friend.
umm…I don’t know who would preview what’s supposed to be a completely routine html tag. Who knew that what works on dKos doesn’t work here?
Luckily I’ve figured out the problem:
The word is <underline this word>ascribe</stop underlining right here> not subscribe.
I’m an html idiot, so I have to preview everything to make sure I got it right, and I still wind up with too manby typos…
see what I mean?
(well, perhaps a bit of shame)
DFA Meetup night tonight almost everywhere.

Denny Hastert has been hospitalized with kidney stones. I hope Deadwood‘s Doc Cochran shows up and applies his late 19th century medical knowledge.
Frist can perform the ancient “laying on of cats”.
The main difference is that Doc Cochran’s patient LIVED!
