Just got done wrapping presents. Small pile compared to what we usually have. Hubby and I do not exchange anymore. Baked cookies yesterday and the ham is pulled from the freezer. So, I’m pretty well set. You?
Naaa.
Had a good start, but got complacent the last few days.
So, a bit of final rush as usual.
complacent, nah.. it’s a plan. the best things happen at the last moment.

l still have to pick up photo prints in the am, get them matted and framed… by christmas…no problem.
As in: some of us function better under pressure…
it’s all in your head ask…ain’t no pressure……just a plan…and it always works.

There is definitely a gender difference in the level of comfort with last-minute rushing during the holidays , I think.
I’m sprinting to the finish this year, but really don’t like letting things go till the end.
Holiday Preparations Include:
Enough legal rope to hang the politicians, legally (regaurdless of which animal they claim to ride) that led/directed/voted/were bribed, for the financial path we’re on/and own for generations to come.
The common sense enough to know the difference between right and wrong, and to not do the wrong thing about it
Being sick and tired of waking up sick and tired of what our (elected lawmakers) have allowed to happen
Allowing executives to walk away with millions, upon millions, of taxpayers money, including our children’s tax money in bonuses, etc, for a job/position, botched, while the common person get’s nothing expcept the bills.
Paying for our own terrorism, with our dollars, while our people do without. (and generations to come, if we allow it)
Allowing George W. Bush to walk away from the largest intententional financial downfall to America, without the satisfaction of watching him brought forth on criminal charges, along with his co-offenders. (and we all know who they are)
Now I know this was not a place for a rant, but I just got through reading the evening news…..whooops, Here it IS….; )
So…on Christmas Day, I’m going to wish/hope, that a gift of allowing everyone to reach around their back side, and feel and see if they still have a spine, and when they find it….SHOUT to the top of their lungs….NO MORE…and do something about it, through email, letters, calls, etc.
We MUST STAND, for what we truly know is right,
Then, we may have a Happy Holidays…. ; ) or ….continue as is….
my little rant for Sunday, December 21st, (the first day of winter)…..peace be with you all….only if we demand it..(because peace comes in many different forms ; )

Unless my loved ones are prepared to receive toenail clippings as gifts (C.O.D.), I’m not making any preparations.
So, yes, they’re all done!
No tree, no presents, no christmas dinner, no lights, no stocking on the mantle.
And yes, I am ‘done’.

Brrr…. feels like January out there today.
I could have used another week between the end of my night class (Flash CS3 – lots of fun!) and Christmas… since I was working on the class final project up until last Monday.
And I make a number of the presents I give, so that leaves me with very little time to get things done… music downloaded, mix-lists made, CD covers designed… CDs burned… sewing projects done… donations made…
Fortunately, my family is pretty laid-back about this stuff… if something isn’t ready by the 25th, they’ll be happy to see it whenever. And it’s really the getting together with family (including family I haven’t seen since last Christmas…) that matters most. The rest of it is just tinsel on the tree….
haven’t even started 🙂
Yup, my holiday prep was done by Sat. and holiday festivities over last night. Whew. It was fun and KamaKid was ecstatic over my choices in manga and anime. Go me! :>)
