This is an Unhosted Cafe.
The bar is fully stocked, but it is self-serve tonight.
Don’t forget to feed the meter, this is a tow-zone.

Nice Lounge! You did so well! And so fast too. It took me forever the first time I tried to do it.
Well, I am a bit of a geek. But thanks 🙂
Where’s my beer?
Woo hoo!
Did you use auto format or HTML format?
I honestly didn’t look while I was logged in as froggybottom. I just copied, pasted, previewed, and made sure it looked passable.
Okay, but where are you hiding the training wheels?
I took them off.
I think I’ll avoid a Western style duel with you, ha!
You are amazing sometimes.
If you didn’t change anything you were in auto format. Next time choose HTML from the pull down menu and it will eliminate some of the white space and condense it a little. (You can’t change it once you post so don’t bother looking for it now).
Not that there’s anything wrong with it as it is — but if you choose some of the sample cafes and don’t choose HTML, it gets REALLY big.
Good to know.
Although you saying that I can’t change it makes me want to try…
No you don’t. I did that with one of mine on the first day. I had a big ol’ giant field of white space. I ended up going in and deleting some of the breaks, but it was a pain and, plus, this cafe looks great!
I agree.
The pull down menu disappears once you post. Go into “new diary” and you’ll see it.
is that the Yanks just beat the A’s 15-2.
That was a late game. Were they on the west coast?
yes, and do you think I appreciated waiting until 10 pm on opening day to see the Yanks?
uh, no?
On the other hand my opening day was in the middle of the day in Philly and I couldn’t even watch it. So I’m not feeling THAT sorry for you.
the phillies got bombed. I almost went to that game. Glad I didn’t, it drizzled all through it.
yeah it was somewhat embarrassing for the phillies for a while. (well, most of the game).
Sounds like the A’s were in the same boat.
Everybody is picking the Yankees to win it all this year.
Except for the guy who picked the A’s (I think it was someone in Sporting News). Oops.
I believe I just won this discussion.
Yes, you did. But this trick should only be tried by professional drivers on a closed track.
It was actually pretty easy. But since I’m lazy, I’m not going to share my secrets.
I wouldn’t understand anyway.
OK, you talked me into it. Of course, you’ll never need to use this considering you to start in HTML formatting to begin with….
Just start a new diary, copy the text from the sample diary into the intro box. Hit preview, then in your browser right click and ‘go to source’. Copy the part that is your intro text, go back to the actual diary, and paste it in over the original, shoddy auto-formatted intro text.
Voila.
<she smiles exactly like The Little Mermaid>
that’s GREAT ej.
a smart cookie!!
This is a first-time lounge?!? No way! It looks great in here!!
Doesn’t it?
Thanks, but really, it was very simple. Andi is kind of anal about making sure that directions are easy to follow.
Though I probably would have aligned some of the text up there differently…hmmm…
It looks fine.
If you didn’t know, I’m somewhat of a perfectionist. I think I would probably drive even Andi crazy.
This just popped up and started blooming over the past 2 days … Chionodoxa aka, Glory of the Snow. Consider this your late night starlight, snapped in my garden earlier tonight.
What you all drinking? ejmw, I know you’re on a beer roll… I might just indulge and have one more …
Great picture! I will have to start taking some flower pictures in a month or two, I live in an apartment, but there is a nice older woman upstairs that takes immaculate care of the flowers in our courtyard.
And actually, I’ve moved on to whiskey and diet coke 🙂
ok
I just can’t bring myself to pour coke into scotch … but it looks like you have some left from the last shot so I don’t need to.
Into scotch? No WAY!
But truth be told, it’s bourbon. From Kentucky. So don’t feel too bad about pouring coke into it.
whew
in honor of staying up a bit too late, though I will regret it at work today… Glad to see such a lively crew carrying on here tonight. I need to get me some more Woodford Reserve, into which, no Coke, no way, never. I like my bourbon to bite back with perhaps only interference from ice cubes.
I know this is old news by now, but DeLay not running? Out in May? What the hell happened to cause this major shift in the Rethug tectonic plates? Whatever it is, I’m doing a happy dance about it.
Another shameless plug for Nighty Night here … just got my season 1 DVD in the mail today, along with Season 5 of Six Feet Under, so had to watch a couple of episodes we missed originally. Fans of nasty, dark, bitchy, catty humor alert! Nighty Night on Oxygen network Wed. nights at 10:00 EDT/9:00 CDT. Tune in, let your jaw drop, and feel corrupted just for watching the deliciously evil Jill Tyrell… end of whoring… hehe.
I have to admit, I had Woodford Reserve once, and thought it was quite nasty. But, the guy who brought it swears by it, so maybe it is just me.
Did you know that the way that snobbish drinkers of irish whiskey drink their…uh, irish whiskey…is to drop one drop of cold water into the tumbler along with the whiskey?
That seems a little over the top for me.
no, its great. They serve it neat with a little pitcher of water (and maybe one ice cube). You pour in a drop of water. It’s great.
That sounds very interesting, but I don’t think I’m willing to give up my ice cubes.
Are you still here? I’m finished for the night. (Besides, being so nice is beginning to grate on me). See you tomorrow.
Yup, but I think I’m done soon too. Good night!
Wow, sorry you hated the WR … if you have any leftovers, send em my way, and I’ll lap em up. It’s a treat I don’t allow myself often, and usually just keep a bottle of Old Crow around for regular occasions. Once in a while Wild Turkey when I’m feeling especially adventurous. We used to get this great stuff a few years ago that was widely marketed and then disappeared… Fighting Cock… 110 proof. Now that stuff would knock your knickers off after about 2 drinks… sadly, never find it anymore. But we’re in Iowa, land of the odd liquor laws by which the state controls distribution of all types, brands and such for all the stores in the state. Better than the old state-run liquor stores, but still limits us from some of the more esoteric things I like. Like Suze, which is unavailable anywhere in the US as far as I know… so I hoard it from past trips to France…
Night IVG. Great pictures today. I enjoyed them.
You folks have seen one my most powerful inner passions come out the past couple of days… and hope you like lots more flowers, because they’re only getting going around here! I guess there’s only about 2 other things (well maybe 3 or 4 or …) more than flowers, film and politics that get me going strong. Anytime you need a virtual bouquet, you just let me know!
Do check out Nighty Night if you get Oxygen channel. I somehow sense you would appreciate the wicked humor of this series, and even if you come in 3 episodes into the 2nd season, you’ll catch on quickly. Amazing how all the vile characters are set up from the get go in the first episode, which we just saw for the first time tonight.
After all, what’s all this Gilmore Girls chatter I see around here? I’ve never even seen that, but if it’s trashy I might like it. Hehe. Nighty Night is really something though …. Now talk about shilling! Good night, and good luck… (I’ll skip Keith’s thing about keep your knees loose, whatever that means!)
Its already tomorrow morning in some places.

Switzerland. I’d like to be there.
going to college for five years, a long time ago, had its benefits..
watcha been doin?
Yeah, how you been Izzy? I bewail the fact that I will likely be somewhat scarce this week, except at night, due to crazy workload at work… grrr. Great to see you anyway!
Hey guys! Sorry I didn’t see you for so long. Been, uh, okay I confess, watching tv.
for bed. The long drive yesterday wiped me out. Good night everyone!

You know..I have been thinking. (And no it didn’t hurt as much as you think it did!) The cafe is always about the booze..never any green if you know what I mean. Is there something wrong with it? Cause if not…I have some spare… 😀
you missed this on the shelf in the corner
Oh wow! You are right I did. What a beautiful piece!
Nope, nothing wrong with it. But I’m off to bed now, and don’t need a case of the munchies to follow me 🙂
Good night Cake!
LOL!! Nothing wrong with getting up in the middle of night for a late night snack. 😉 But I do find that it definitely helps with the hangover, right along with an Italian sandwich…that olive oil on it coats your tummy and makes that hangover go bye bye real quick! Not your everyday breakfast…but it sure does the trick!
Boy that manegee can sure rummage huh? Good man, him, to rustle that up for us. Though I have about one sip of Cuervo left and then off to bed… but I’m gonna post a big fat flower to celebrate the DE-mise of DE-Lay, and hope it brings us the domino downfall of many more to come!
Check out this cool hibiscus we have out back… Lord Baltimore is the variety, hibiscus moscheutos is the species. Amazing plants. Amazingly simple and easy to grow. Anyone interested, contact me for details or check out the pages on hibiscus on my website.
Nighty Night!
He’s a friend of mine…I like to drink him with a lil salt and lime….
Beauuuutiful hibiscus! I am absolutely loving all of the flower pictures, up here in Maine we don’t have ’em yet. Or anything remotely greenish yet. We still have naked trees here in Portland! I am so definitely not used to that being a Floridian for most of my life! Where are my evergreens dammit! Keep them coming!!
No worries about that, and I vow to update and re-vamp the website this year somehow… as soon as I get going on the diaries that I hope will sometime become a book on urban gardening. Anyway, glad you enjoyed and Jose went adios, so I’m taking that cue and heading on out… Cheers! And I think you can even maybe grow these hibiscus in Maine… they’re hardy from about zone 3 to 8…
Might have to give it a try…never grown anything farther an aloe plant! (the black thumb runs rampant in my genes unfortuantely!) The grandmother-in-law has a empty plot of a failed garden that her son tried to impliment…maybe I will have to do something with that space.
Night! sleep well! 😉
Ok I swear this time it isn’t the alcohol! Really! I just think too fast…that’s it. Isn’t it? 😉
Heading to the heart of the Amerikkkan dream for a social science conference. I may try to catch up with a few blogs when and if time permits.
In the meantime, keep fighting the good fight y’all.
