Cindy Sheehan has been told that if she is still outside THE RANCH on Thursday she will be arrested. I remember one giant huge arrogant asshole who said, “Bring Em On!” not long ago and he has said it again only worded a bit different. It is time to set the keyboard aside and come with me to Crawford! We always complain that the Democrats are so spineless, well I’m a Democrat and this mission in Iraq is a crock of shit and I’m not spineless. I knew there was going to come a time when I was going to have to do more than just blog my mouth off, it is time to put up or shut up! It’s time to go to Crawford! Now who is with me?

I’ve got two kiddos too, but they don’t go back to school ’til next week…maybe my husband would understand, anyway, it’s only an hour/hour and a 1/2 away from here….

I had to go pick up kids from school. Yes, I am going to drive. It would be nice to pick up others on the way, been trying to look Crawford up in the road atlas in the school parking lot UGH!

My husband knows that being able to blog and write about this past almost two years has saved my sanity. I told him that I needed to speak to him in private in our LOVESHACK (bedroom) and when I asked he told me that he already figured that I was going to ask to go. He told me to go ahead and go and get arrested and that’s okay. I told him that they couldn’t arrest us all, where would they put us in Crawford Texas? He said that we are all peaceful so they will load us all onto buses and take us someplace that can hold us all, then he said, “You guys will all be laying all over the road in protest of arrest!” and then he cracked up laughing. Did I ever tell you guys that I have the best husband in the world, also very frustrated because people bitch about Iraq but nobody ever makes a real stand…..just a lot of words. I will call you Brinnaine. Tell your husband that if the president allows this woman her time and is willing to answer her questions that we may not have to go. If we go we will cook him steak and steamed asparagus as soon as they release us. We will owe him huge. If he hates to mow the lawn we’ll mow the lawn, whatever he needs if he’ll handle the house for a spell.
It actually went really well, he’s over at friends of ours house helping them to update their ‘puter and I called to see if he wanted me to go pick up the kids and I just said: something to think about, we can talk more when you get home and told him all about it — he siad, yes of course you should go and will i get to meet Tracy too? And, if you get arrested, I will come and get you both.
You may have the best husband in the world, but mine comes in a close second! 😉

When do you think you’ll call? I’ll be leaving to get the kids in about 20 minutes and that usually takes about 30 minutes all told — so any time after 7 will be good!

I plan on doing something in my town if they do in fact arrest her. I am hoping others in my town will join if I have to walk a picket line in front of the court house.
If everyone one in their own small way in their towns pushs the envelope, then maybe we can start making a difference.
My son’s first day of kindergarten was yesterday. I can’t think of any other way though to tell him that I love him more than to tend to this. My husband can do the Mr Mom thing I think for three or so days…..Unless I get arrested 😉 The whole point of everybody going though is that too many are there to arrest or so many on the way that Bush folds and addresses this woman who has suffered a loss that is my worst fear (and I have had that nightmare about three times and it sucks when it is just a nightmare and not even the real thing). Everybody complains about those who represent us, how about if we represented ourselves?

If you are going to use the cell phone to do dial up, make sure you bring a car cell phone charger with you. Don’t want you 2 stranded out there without a phone.

You are never late. Brinnainne and I made our plans. I’m out of here tomorrow afternoon, going to her house and we will inventory what we have and what we think we may need and then off to Crawford. Brinnainne said that the phone line to the Peace house has been busy, busy, busy……let’s hope that when we get there there are so many people there that you may never find us in the crowd. I bought this fanny pack for my camera with a water bottle on each side. My husband put it on tonight and pretended to draw his water bottle. What a geek!

What you can do for support is so appreciated Janet. Normally I wouldn’t go to such a thing since I have a little guy too, but my husband knows what this means to me. He knows how much Iraq has hurt me and often enraged me and he is sucking it up so that I can have this one opportunity to do something really active about it and heal more for myself and my family and my country. Those unable to go I hope will be able to help us out if we get arrested and they really try to harm us in some fashion. They could attempt to insure that nobody is ever brave enough to stand firmly by their convictions and speak their mind in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA confidently again!
