I swear they just want to kill our kids.
…
Wells demanded the school give equal time to rebut the “misinformation” his son heard: that condoms lead to cancer, that birth control pills are only 20 percent effective, that sexually transmitted diseases are spread by skin contact alone, that third-trimester fetuses can be aborted, that video games lead to homicide, that human papilloma virus can be transferred through condoms and that teens can achieve “second virginity” through abstinence.
She maintained it’s true that there are cancer-causing agents in latex condoms; that 80 percent of teenage girls who seek abortions are already on birth-control pills; and that human papilloma virus is small enough to pass through condoms. She said she does promote the idea of second virginity.
The school paid Holewinski paid $1,500 for her talk and expenses.
Well I guess it is not only Africans and Brazilians they are trying to kill. Sounds like they want everyone to join in the “rapture”… next they will be passing out cynide-lace koolaid.
was at pains to not offend these people a month ago on George Stephanopolis.
George had the hardest time getting Frist to admit that you can’t get AIDS from tears.
For alerting us all to Ms Hoodwinkski… I’ll look for the name in the future. If that had happened when my kids were in high school, they both would have likely been expelled for being openly disrespectful to the speaker…
This is actually just a logical continuation of 18th century British Victorianism, which was a mixture of cultural memes about purity and a lady’s “honor” and the old Christian meme about how anything to do with the flesh being sinful (related to that horrific Diary someone posted a couple days about about whipping children).
In other words, in the United States there is a group of people who believe that nearly every form of physical contact between two people is “sinful”. They parlay this into twisting statistics about sex and sexual contact but underlying it is the horror that people caress each other and touch each other in intimate ways, including kissing.
You know sometimes here in Romania I tell people stories about the U.S. which leave them simply flabbergasted. Here’s one that’s true from my past:
I was about 16 or 17 and I was waiting on the platform at Metro Center station, a subway station in the heart of Washington DC, the capital. I was waiting with my significant other at the time, of the same race and about the same age as I was, and both of us were dressed normally and not provocatively in any way (jeans and sweaters). While waiting for the next car, we were kissing a little… no petting, hands under clothes, hands on rear ends.. just kissing.
A woman about 40 years old came over to us and hissed right in our faces, “you ought to be ashamed! SHAME! SHAME!”.
When Romanians hear this story they just shake their heads in utter amazement. To them it would be akin to someone chastising a young lady for being in the street without her head covered. Just what?? What’s wrong with two teenagers kissing in public? What could be more natural than that?
When I lived in the Middle East, many cultures there (including Jewish) felt that the United States was far, far too permissive and tolerant of sexuality and nudity. But looking over the water, I’m starting to really realize how conservative the United States is.
I guess the question is for you living in America, do you deeply kiss your SO in public?
