   A trial to determine whether the results of Washington state’s gubernatorial election last fall should be thrown out opened Monday with the Republicans charging that the Democrats “stole” the contest for Christine Gregoire, who won by 129 votes out of 2.9 million cast.

   The GOP wants Dino Rossi declared the winner or a do-over election held.

   “This is a case of election fraud,” GOP attorney Dale Foreman said in his opening statement in the trial, which is being heard by a Superior Court judge without a jury. “This election was stolen from the legal voters of this state by a bizarre combination of illegal voters and bungling bureaucrats.”

       The reason I don’t want to talk about it is that it’s so irrational and painful, I can’t stand it.  And it’s costing BOTH parties millions of dollars.

       Plus, our governor Christine Gregoire is doing a great job.  And her “First Man” husband is also pitching in, touring the state.

       Plus, a poll on KING 5 news the other night showed that almost 60% (or so — I forget the exact #) of the people believe that Dino Rossi really won.

       Plus, it brings back bad memories of Florida in 2000 and Ohio in 2004.

         It must be infuriating, Susan, but maybe a revote would result in a butt-kicking that would eliminate any doubt about the voters’ choice?

   I noted reports in several Norwegian apers over the last hour.
   Now found this in the Guardian.

   “O nation of Islam … Pray for the healing of our Sheikh Abu Musab al-Zarqawi from an injury he suffered in the path of God,” said a statement on a website known for its militant content. The statement was attributed to the al-Qaida Organisation for Holy War in Iraq but its authenticity could not be verified.

   The statement, said to have been posted by the insurgent group’s media coordinator, Abu Maysarah al-Iraqi, did not say how or when Zarqawi was injured.

   Truth, or are the insurgents pushing their own PsyOps?
