A Canadian province will shut its 24-hour suicide hotline and replace it with one that operates only during business hours.
Prince Edward Island, a small province on Canada’s East Coast, says it is too expensive to operate the hotline around the clock. Starting June 1, it will be open only between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
“One of the things I was hearing is the government felt there weren’t enough suicide-related calls,” Wright said.

So I guess that it wouldn’t make sense to run it just at night when help may be a little harder to come by. No, suicidal thoughts must be confined to business hours. Good plan.
for the night shift. I guess.
I know I only get depressed during working hours Monday thru Friday.

Lay claim on a region across the border, near Detroit-Flint Michigan for example. Just don’t transfer those low-cost Canadian pharmacy products, that’s illegal now isn’t it? May involve the DHS terror act for banned products to be imported. Get’s ye in heap of trouble.
PS Going Out of Business! for a suicidal hotline is wonderful news to start the day.
