Sinclair backs ‘Nightline’ honoring soldiers
What a difference a year makes. Last year Sinclair refused to air Nightline‘s “Fallen” special that paid tribute to 721 servicemembers who died in Iraq and Afghanistan. This year the media group “applauds” Nightline‘s decision to run the same special with this year’s war dead. (Via TVNewser)

This is like the “Freedom Fries” guy admitting that he now realizes we went to war under false pretenses, and he wishes it had never happened.
Or it’s like my kid telling me he KNOWS I told him not to do “X” and now he’s really sorry he did “X” anyway, because now he’s [broke/in pain/feeling stupid/other].
The whole notion of CONSEQUENCES is a grown-up thing– and these adolescent thugs who sat and chortled along with Chimpy for the past four years don’t like them any more than my 12-year-old does.

I have to admit, I am kind of impressed that he’s gone through this big a change. That must have been really hard for him to admit – both to himself and to the public – and he’s going to be getting all kinds of shit from his party.
And I just have to wonder what did it. I mean, anyone who could be so clueless to come up with the whole “freedom fries” inanity and then go through that kind of change…
