It wont work because most democrats don’t know if their vote will be counted accurately, anyhow. Hard to GOTV when people think their vote isn’t getting counted.
I guess Flush Limpturd and Matt chip of the ole man’s block Blunt, have been reading the same propoganda. Matt said that the reason the repuglicans won in MO in this election is that nobody wants to live where the democrats are. Referring to St Louis and KC. Matt compassionate conservative that he is, supported a huge tax cut for many of the wealthiest Missourians, and then proceeded to cut almost 100,000 people from the medicaid roles. Most too sick or disabled to do anything to protect themselves. I see this as fend for yourself compassionate conservatism, you know sink or swim, we don’t care just go away and don’t bother us as we have other priorities. Yes you do, lining your pockets with the tax payers money.
Rush Limbaugh does a Ann Coulter imitation.
This is just another incarnation of “Get a job, Hippie.”
Yawn.
Reading this, it suddenly strikes me that Limbaugh can’t possibly believe the crap he’s spewing. He knows the statement about the Democrats isn’t true, and apparently doesn’t care.
Mr. Limbaugh, in short, is a troll.
Allow me to explain for the benefit of those who haven’t been around since the days when there weren’t quite as many internets as there are today. Back in the old days when we had to run our computers by candlelight because electricity hadn’t been invented yet, discussion groups went by the name of “Usenet.” No one now remembers why it was called Usenet, but there you are. Anyway, back in those days the Internet was primarily a creature of research facilities like universities. Occasionally, though, the process of advancing and expanding the knowledge of humankind would get kinda monotonous, so bored subscribers would entertain themselves by asking dumb questions, starting pointless flame wars and the like. Longtime users who had seen stuff like this before would just generally ignore them, but newcomers who had never been in the middle of something like this would jump right in, assuming the original poster was serious in his statements. This became known as “trolling for newbies,” after the process of using a fishing line to troll for fish. The inflammatory messages became known as “trolls,” and by extension the name was applied to those who posted them (as in the famous expression “Don’t feed the trolls”).
Mr. Limbaugh is trolling. He is making an inflammatory statement designed to draw outraged listeners in, to call his show so he can argue with and hang up on them, which in turn will drive his ratings up and allow him to charge the advertisers who fund his show more, thereby making more money for himself.
At some point I think we have to start making a concerted effort to rid the airwaves of trolls like Mr. Limbaugh. How to do this? I don’t know for sure and am open to suggestions.
Omir,
I have a suggestion, how about starting to contact the advertisers on his show and letting them know that we will be organizing a boycott of their products. Money talks bull sh_ _ walks, like Flush Limpturd. You fat greasy slimy sewage spewing garbage mouth reichwing pundit that he is. I am sure given enough time and energy, that we could mobilize enough signatures to make a statement to his advertisers.
Oh by the way, loved your internet history lesson. Thanks for the enlightenment.
You’re welcome. Sometimes it’s interesting to find out things like this.
There’s an old saying:
Q: How do you eat an elephant?
A: One bite at a time.
I’m thinking this may be the way to attack somone like Mr. Limbaugh. Go after advertisers one by one, identifying the weakest ones first, forcing them out, then moving on to bigger targets. I am, however, leery of the term “boycott” because it sounds very negative and reinforces the idea of Democrats as anti-business. Instead frame it as something like this:
“Dear Sirs,
The members of the Ladies Sewing Circle and Political Action Committee of Dunsbury, Ohio have decided that, as former loyal Fulcrum customers, we have decided to move to Whistlefang Toothpaste because we cannot in good conscience continue to support an organization that helps to fund an extremist like Rush Limbaugh.
As part of our ongoing effort to support the troops in Iraq we recently put together 500 care packages to send to soldiers stationed overseas. We had originally decided to buy Fulcrum to include in the packages, but purchased 500 tubes of Whistlefang instead.”
It would take a massive, organized effort to have any kind of success, but I think it would be possible, especially with small broadcasters in small towns that depend on the advertising revenue Mr. Limbaugh’s program would provide. Five hundred tubes of toothpaste is a drop in the bucket for someone like Proctor & Gamble, but if advertising on Limbaugh suddenly becomes a hot potato to a local drugstore, they would be more likely to pull their support.
and here it is, already in motion and succeeding to make a difference.

Said they didn’t have to worry about waiting in voter lines because, “A lot of them never made an honest living in their life.”
Apparently only Libertarians and Greens work in this country. No wonder our economy is in a shambles.
Gee, I wonder which one I am then.
I am so sick of the class defining/ party defining that goes on.
Who fits that AMERICAN model the best?
What is the American model, by the way?
God, who gives a rat’s ass what that pill popping pig says. It’s kind of like diaries you know. Either you read it and like it and recommend or you move along to the next topic. I will watch O’Leilly or Hannity just to get a good laugh. But can only tolerate the lies and crap they spew for about three minutes.
at this desk in front of this computer….
oh yeah – avoiding another 12 hour day – making it only 10 ’cause I’m blogging for 2…
I am a true blue liberal democrat and have worked all my life. Flush Limpturd is a waste of humanity and lard assed bloated cow pattie, who is little more than an ameoba in the cesspool that he spawned from in the bacteria laden gene pool that brought him to life. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I should work for Don Rickles.
Amen ghost dancer….I sit here and blog but I’ve worked for the better part of my 49 years…
Flipped burgers, waited tables, worked retail chain stores – and finally a college degree to put me at this desk. We’ve all done whatever it took to pay the bills and and feed the kids and …..
yep – don’t get me started or you and I can have a real Rush hate fest going here.
Sally,
And that would be a bad thing because? lol
send my normally comatose blood pressure through the roof!
But a romping snark fest over a glass of wine or cold beer could be good fun!
That could be fun, but I will have to pass on the wine or beer, seems over my life I have developed an allergy to alcohol, I break out in straight jackets, handcuffs, hospitals or jails when I use it. So for the last 17 + years I haven’t had and reaction at all. lmao But enjoy yours and don’t let the bastards win.
is hard work.
Yep and don’t forget that he lost his pp and his hearing to oxy. roflmao
Well, whaddya know. More bloviating from the drug dealer of the airwaves.
If you’ll excuse me, this welfare queen is goin’ to get into her Cadillac and go out and buy some fish eggs and some o’ that bubbly stuff the frenchies drink, bein’ as how I’m a Dem and don’t have to work.
