Where are you, I am in Santa Ana, Ca. and I was just writing my diary when I felt it, I wonder where the center of it was. I felt two strong movements and got up from computer and stood in doorway, it felt like it was going to go on, but then stopped.
Nothing on the news yet.
We had one here on Vancouver Island a while back while I was on my computer, and I just kept tapping and clicking away.
I experienced a small tornado in LaSalle Que. and the idea that there is really nothing you can do is liberating in a way. I just got under my maple table and watched all the things flying by horizontally in my window. Things like screen doors, insulation etc. I had been out earlier and there was an eerie calm and sudden darkness before it happened.
I did feel an earthquake when I lived in Pleasanton, CA (about 1993). It was a rolling earthquake and really weird. I saw the floor go in waves and my cat was just laying there on the coffee table while it moved up and down.
The next morning at 6:00 am, a painting fell off my wall and I thought it was an earthquake. I ran outside to discover that there was no earthquake. I was in my T-Shirt and underwear and felt really stupid. I just looked around like I was searching for my morning newspaper and went back inside.

A friend of mine recently looked out her front window in time to see her dog with a still live rabit in its mouth. In a flash she was outside chasing the dog around trying to free the rabit. Finally she stopped and noticed her robe was completely open she looked up to see if anyone noticed and there was her neighbor accross the street staring. He hopped in his car and left.

It was the length of it that had me worried. It just kept going and going.
