a whole lot better now that it’s cooled off. Although the CAFTA vote might warm things up again, as the valley of Red River of the North is heavily into sugar beets. So eastern ND and western MN will take a huge financial licking unless we can convert all that sugar into ethanol or something.
Twas puzzled as to the lack of numbers in the Midwest category, so we’ll see if a “1” shows up now.

I found that I really got acclimatised to the heat this year by the time the mercury got up past 100. The hottest day–Sunday–was 102, and I was like “ehhh…not that bad, really”. Then the cold front came in, and the last couple nights I’ve actually been shivering!! LOL
After the last two summers in AL, I thought being back in MI would be a breeze–but its been a warm one this year. First house we bought without central air–bad move.
My great big grown up kid is healthy, my tomatoes are ripening, my cat still loves me and my air conditioner still works.
Bliss.
Who’ll run against Pawlenty? There’s a great big sucking sound here…! Media, find something to LIKE about Mike Hatch or we’re in for another four years of stalemate.
