As for moi, I just finally finished a huge project and I am happy, relieved, and tired. I will now go drink an entire pot of coffee, but don’t worry, I made another pot for everybody else. 🙂

Thanks, kb. Now all I have to do is keep myself from getting sick. I used to have a bad habit of physically collapsing after finishing one of these things. Last time I managed to sternly keep myself from doing that again, and I’m hoping to avoid it this time, too.
Maybe a massage is in order. Yes, I hereby order myself to get a massage. Now then, which kind of massage shall I pick from the confusing selection of them??

Living with both a Mrs. and toto dogs, hugs and tussels are always the order of the day.

This morning he chased us madly around the house before breakfast–not bad for a 91-year-old first thing out of bed!–and his stools no longer feel (through the pickup bag) like construction foundation mix.
Gotta go–he’s telling me it’s our after-lunch nap time now.
Look at that poodum! He’s so cute!!! Fantastic photo!!! and made the kids giggle 🙂
Every time we take them out around kids, a few of the kids are sure to giggle. It’s been that way since we got our 1st 2 13 years ago now. Kids regard them as a cross between dogs and teddy bears, and they’re small enough that even young, shy kids can often be coaxed by their parents to come pet them.
Same applies for the pure white ones which are the same dog but officially a different breed, west Highland terriers or “westies.”
Early day in the Scribe household…spouse is heading for the doctor and hopefully get the good word that he can try to get back to work…life is starting to return to whatever the h-e-double hockey sticks it was before the Crisis Du Jour.
Been looking at a Web site I have the opportunity to redesign (see yesterday’s Cafe for details). In a word: YEEEESH!!! (shudders) I’m going to have to rebuild that puppy from the ground up. It is truly horrendous. Will be a great challenge, I must admit; I’ve already got some preliminary ideas for a site plan which I plan to type up and send to my friend, and he can pass it on to his friend. (Anyone have an inkling of how much entry-level Web designers charge? Leaning towards going low-end since this is my first real project, and my ex-BF will not let me get away with doing it gratis…)
I’m feeling more positive now…maybe what I just needed was a good project to keep me busy. And this project will be great portfolio filler if I decide to take on additional contract work in the future.
Time to go get the bed made; I’d like to go to the doctor with the spouse, then maybe go out for breakfast before we do our assorted errands. Have a great day, everyone! 🙂

Thanks Kansas for putting this diary up today and saving me from the slavery of 2 days in a row of manning the cafe. The work was long and hard the cleanup at the end of the day was back brearking, so now I can rest up….lol.
It has been a busy time at work and I have been able only to intermitently soothe my blogging compunction.
Yet I am glad that you are all here and doing well today.

Seems the same old church ladies are offended we got angry about Lance. And I KNOW Cindy doesn’t speak for them… they are the ones who support a step-mom who bitched and bitched about her husband having to pay child support and that the “bastard” had better not expect them to help with college… So of course NOW she’s a “Proud USMC Mommy” I’m gonna hurl.
Lance is G-d and Cindy doesn’t speak for me crap.
Other than that… I need to get out and get groceries. The cat food is looking… appetizing. 🙂

Good morning everyone, we are having major flooding here in Tucson. The Santa Cruz river is overflowing its enbankments throughout the city. We need the rain, but Mother Nature decided to dump it on us all at once. How are things in your neck of the woods, or desert, or prarie, or concrete sea?

It was great, I’d much rather be there than here at my desk. The drive down Hwy 1 in Baja California was soul-food for me. Ahhhh, vacation.
I’d be glad to do a swap to get my feet wet for hosting, let me know what y’all need.
Did you happen to go down a few years ago for the solar eclipse?
This was barely my second trip down the coastline. I had been to Puerto Nuevo previously for some daytime food and shopping. I really need to do more exploration of the country, my roots are there and it energizes me to learn more about them. There’s so much culture to be discovered, and unfortunately the view from the U.S. is predominately centered on border-city poverty. I am on a mission! 🙂
Oh dear-there were many crazy nights in Mexico for me–I ate the worm and everything.You don’t want to know about it.We went down to Ensenada to pick up a friend who had just been road-crewing for the Baja 1000. Just brutal-he was so sunburned,we had to pack him in ice.
I enjoyed my stay in Ensenada. The people were friendly, the streets were filled with music, and good food was found at every corner. I was very ‘liberal’ with my sunblock so my built-in tan remained its normal hue. I stayed away from the tequila while I was across the line, the beer and lime sufficed for my solo trip. The worm huh? You have my lifelong respect. Paz

That would be really great, ManEegee! Pick a Tuesday, any single Tuesday or all Tuesdays, and let us know. And if you want access to the cafe files where the artwork, etc., is stored, we’ll put you in the Yahoo group. Don’t feel you have to do that, though. The only thing we really need each time is for the name Froggy Bottom Cafe to be spelled out in the headline. Apart from that you can do anything you want to do and I hope you will!!

Friday is my regular day, and I have other commitments on Tuesday afternoons starting in September, so I would be happy for you to take Tuesdays.
