I honestly believe many will comfort themselves that way. I heard that growing up in the Southern Baptist Church, and it alarms me now. Truly, though, they believe it.
“I know God allowed this to happen for a reason,” said Collins, whose home, two trucks, boat, and lawn care business were destroyed by Katrina.
“Basically what I feared in life was losing everything I had,” he said. “Now I don’t have to worry about it anymore because it is all gone. God solved that problem for me.”
I believe he believes that sincerely.
