by Col. W. Patrick Lang (Ret.)
Just heard Monica Crowley of MSNBC tell Don Imus (the semi-crazed seer of morning media) that Zarqawi is the leader of the terrorist insurgency in Iraq.
TALKING POINT!! “The insurgencies are altogether made up of Jihadis. Zarqawi is their leader.”
THIS WILL BE ON THE QUIZ!! (In fact, Zarqawi “owns” only a small percentage of the insurgents)
She then went on to say that what had “gone wrong” was that the United States had invaded only one country in the Middle East. She maintained stoutly that what is needed is to “take down” all the tyrants at once.
TALKING POINT!!! “More countries need regime change before a tranforming revolution will occur in the region.”
WATCH OUT, _______!!! (Fill in appropriate name)
Imus then asked her if she has an “IV drip” to receive her Jacobin neocon Koolaid every day or does she just “guzzle it” by the gallon.
NOMINATION: Monica Crowley for Jacobinette of the year!

This is hilarious! God, I wish we had the video… I can’t believe Imus really said that to her. Priceless.
I did send this to Crooks & Liars in the faint hope he might have captured that.
Classic Imus…
I hope C&L manages to get it!
Take down all the tyrants at once?
This would mean the Saudi King?
The Egyptian President?
Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, UAE, Qatar?
Be careful what you ask for… you just might get it.
You forgot bush on that list… lol
I thought about it… but the post said middle eastern tyrants. He’s a texas tyrant (i won’t defame my midwestern friends by calling him that but my poor texas friends are out of luck).
Great catch Pat. Now pass the GD koolaide. I am tired of being left out…lol!
I grew up on Kool-Aid … one burning memory in my mind is of the time I spilled CHERRY Kool-Aid on my mother’s livingroom beige wool carpeting. Oh god. Hell to pay.
(Also grew up with it figuratively. A county full of Republicans. The county party leaders all had John Birch literature on their living room coffee tables. Phyllis Shlafley (sp?) was a goddess to them.)
Maybe that’s why we ended up here? In high school, I had social studies for three years from a teacher who was a proud member of the John Birch Society, and who used to take teens out to his rural property so they could experience the joy of firearms. One classmate later suffered head/brain injuries in an accident at a shooting range, after which the 2nd amendment talk died down a bit. He called me his “resident technocrat” because I would argue with him that when the constitution said “promote the general welfare” that would cover environmental regulations. Of course he thought I was a borderline Socialist. He was ahead of his time – he would have done well in this administration. 😛
The man was just killed for the third time. And that last leg they sent looked like it was made out of Play Dough or something. I think he fed it to the cat.
I missed that photo … I confess I don’t read many articles about Zarq, him being a creepy phantom regenerator or something.
