Article, with subtitle: Former CIA Analyst: Government May Be Manufacturing Fake Terrorism
A Government openly promoting torture, A President acting like a King cannot be trusted, must be impeached
http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/october2005/191005McGovern.htm
“McGovern then moved on to talk about terrorism and the fact that if there was another major attack in the US, it would mean a martial law state (According to General Tommy Franks) and a breakdown in our freedoms.
He amazingly went on to suggest that if another attack took place we should not accept what the government tells us because it could be them carrying out the terror.
“We have to be careful, if somebody does this kind of provocation, big violent explosions of some kind, we have to not take the word of the masters there in Washington that this was some terrorist event because it could well be a provocation allowing them, or seemingly to allow them to get what they want.”
McGovern said he would not put it past the Government to “Play fast and loose” with terror alerts and warnings and even events themselves in order to rally people behind the flag.” Heavy hitting statements
With a big big finish: “At this very moment we have a President about to veto a ban on torture. Even at the height of the British Empire torture was still outlawed because it was recognized as the pinnacle of human rights violations. What more does this Administration have to do before we remove it from power?” GOOD QUESTION !!!!!
Good question, WHAT MORE DOES THIS ADMINISTRATION HAVE TO DO??? Is the media that powerful? Is the people that easily lead? Is Fitzgerald the man? How drastic of measures, need to be taken? EtJ
It is staggering, isn’t it, that so much could go wrong, be handled horribly (Katrina, etc.), and all of the reasons for a war manufactured, and still they stand.
Say, if you’re a fan of Ray McGovern, use Democracy Now!’s search engine … they’ve interviewed him. http://www.democracynow.org
Susan,
Thanks for the link….. This article really hit home. There are many who have come out on this administration.
Another I enjoy reading Is Karen Kwiatowski
Example: Unleashing the Resistance
by Karen Kwiatkowski

A Clip: “French-born composer and musician Nadia Boulanger, a major influence on American music in the 20th century, once said:
Liberty has never come from the government. Liberty has always come from the subjects of it. The history of liberty is a history of resistance. The history of liberty is a history of limitations of governmental power, not the increase of it.”
on the Daily show. He hadn’t put himself in front of liberals very often. Bush hasn’t put himself in front of an unvetted audience at least since the debates. I think he might be booed if he ever did.
Grandma Jo, Love the name……….
Boy bush would have a tough time debating with an educated 10 year old. Hard to believe that he has anyone; that follows him. Our media is a huge problem. Without an idea of what the truth is, America does not stand a chance. Sad that logic is gone, sadder that imagination is left; to what they say it shoud be… :>(
Bush could roast and eat Muslim babies live on CNN and the next day both Internet and airwaves would ring with lively and heated debate on whether the camera should have cut away to Aaron Brown smilingly speculating on whether the Texas-bred President would add salsa.
DuctapeFatwa;
Quite simply. it is time for a CHANGE !!
What I call the GOP “wannabees”, that he depended on in order to gain power in the first place. These are folks that consistently vote against their own self interest because of some emotional issue that the BushCo people supposedly espouse. Ban Gay Marriage! Overturn Roe vs. Wade! Protect and/or expand our right to Bear Arms! Go get Osama (er Sadam)! Many middle class Americans have turned their backs on the Dems over these kinds of issues. When these folks can see through the misinformation, BushCo is done.
How about this for an 06 Bumper Sticker?
This time vote your own self-interest/ Vote Democratic
