According to an article at RawStory.com, prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald has indeed decided to seek indictments, one of which has already been submitted to the Grand Jury.
Fitzgerald will seek at least two indictments, the sources say. They note that it remains to be seen whether the grand jury will approve the charges.
Those familiar with the case state that Fitzgerald likely will not seek indictments that assert officials leaked Plame’s name illegally. Rather, they say that he will focus charges in the arena of lying to investigators.
Suspense. Killing. Me.
Heavy sigh.
I hope it lasts… Willy Wonka.
Time to do away with all those brats! … me. 🙂
by Raw Story to drive their click rate up, you know. LOL! Me, I’m going to iron some shirts, take out the trash and wash some clothes. Then, I’ll come back here and see if anyone has posted an update.
.
Fitzgerald will get at least one prominent member of the Bush-Cheney Cabal up for an Indictment, and several more persons – 3 to 5 – on charges of perjury or conspiracy to block his investigation.
I don’t expect VP to fall yet, but will be targeted soon and may resign.
Fitzgerald will not stop the investigation, but will name specific wrong doing for which he will seek a new GJ and further indictments.
The suspense may lead to an Alfred Hitchcock style bloody ending!

▼ ▼ ▼ MY DIARY
I like your analysis, and Fitzgerald ought to be given all the time he needs. Ken Starr spent millions and took many more years for something ridiculously trivial compared to this.
at the Washington Note claims to have super-duper-inside scoop: target letters received today, 2 to five indictments tomorrow, press conference on Thursday. Maybe more indictments later?
Who knows what to think? It’s getting more topsy-turvy as we near the deadline.
My gut right now says that the sealed indictment route is where we’re going. The specific charges remain unknown, we have one or two minor players resign and don’t know definitively who else stands indicted, and Fitzgerald gets a new grand jury while he works on sorting out this avalanche of information that dropped at the last minute. I hope I’m wrong, though. I think at some point we’ll pass a point where the eventual indictments have lessened impact.
