I am the Democrat running against Mike Pence in Indiana’s 6th District. My website is www.barrywelsh.org Here is my latest Letter to the Editor to district news and media outlets.
Notable Editors and News Directors;
There is an investigation into the stock dealings of Senator Bill Frist.
There are inquiries regarding the National Security leak exposing a CIA
agent, that appear to reach the top levels of President Bush’s
Administration. There are the charges of cronyism and unqualified people in
positions of National importance. And, there is Representative Tom Delay,
under two indictments for money laundering and federal finance violations.
Congressman Mike Pence has taken money ($19,865.00)from Representative Delay
‘s organization, ARMPAC Americans for A Republican Majority, which after
investigation is currently under Grand Jury indictment. There are some that
might feel that Congressman Pence will be `guilty by association’, from this
potential criminal situation, and I hope that Congressman Pence will do the!
right thing and distance himself.
Many have called for him to give the money back. I am publicly asking
Congressman Pence to distance himself from the nineteen plus thousand
dollars he has taken from Rep. Delay’s Organization, by donating One
Thousand Dollars to each of the Family and Children’s Services Bureau’s in
the nineteen counties of the 6th Congressional district, for Foster
Children.
The money should not go back to Tom Delay, and Congressman Pence should
remove himself from even a hint of impropriety. Honorable Congressman, I
hope that you agree.
Barry Welsh
6th District Democratic Candidate for Congress

Good luck in your race. Go get ’em.
It’s good to see you here. Pence needs to cough that cash up.
He want’s to cut Medicare to fund rebuilding in the Gulf, robbing from the poor to provide for the desitute while he cant cough up that dirty, dirty donation.
Pence needs to put his money where his mouth is. If he expects people little old ladies to die because they can’t pay for their pills. He should give the ARMPAC money to all those people who lost everything in Katrina, and forced to go to Houston, before he takes away little old ladies heart pills.
Stealing from the elderly, not just for young Republicans anymore.
For all of my fellow blogospherians, Pence needs to be confronted, and Barry’s the best shot we’ve has in a long time. For 20 years Phil Sharp held that district. A little early money could make our boy Mike think twice before he tries to rob the poor, and a reccomend to get some attention for the winnable race would be good too, you know what to do….
I’ve seen a few calling for Delay money to be returned, and other (smarter) ones calling for money to be donated to Katrina relief.
Not to dissuade anyone from giving to Katrina relief, nor to the many other worthwhile causes, your idea is brilliant and correct, in that you are showing leadership for YOUR district–something we so desparately need because Pence does a horrible job of it. Let Delay money HELP our district. Turn an otherwise bad thing into a positive thing for the LOCAL area.
Pence’s schtick is preaching ‘fiscal discipline’ (to the nation) and usually ends up getting his district a very small piece of the appropriations pie. He consistantly gets less highway money for his district than other Representatives. Even when you adjust for the less roads and lower income of his district, he STILL brings in nearly the lowest.
We always get the short end of the stick. Pence should stop running for President, or head of the House, and start representing the people of his district.
