I am so Fucking Happy it is Sickening!!

I know all of you frog marchers are pink clouding lately, and of course it is all rumor and nothing solid has happened yet as I have reminded some.  My mescaline arrived today though!  Sorry I’ve been so hard on ya’ll.  You guys have lovingly embraced me in my I HATE IRAQ AND THE WHOLE THING IS KILLING ME CRUSADE and I am forever grateful and would like to share my favorite rumor with you guys.

But Sheehan vowed to turn up the heat by returning to the front gate of the White House as soon as the death toll of American soldiers hits 2,000 (as of Thursday, the Department of Defense reported 1,982, including the five killed Wednesday). “I’m going to deliver a speech and then I’m going to get arrested. And when I get out I’m going to go back and get arrested,” Sheehan told the Voice.

Sheehan said she now believes lobbying and marching in the streets is no longer enough and that “nonviolent civil disobedience is the way we have to go” to end the war.

Has the Bush cabal turned the US government into a racketeering enterprise?

In the movie Godfather, Michael Corleone tells the Senator from Nevada who is trying to shakedown the Don,
“Senator, there is not much difference between you and me.You think you are better than me and my family and look down on people like me. But in the end we are in the same business. I am just more open about it than you”.

At the time I saw that movie I felt like most of us did that this is an exaggeration. The United States stands for the rule of law and no part of our government would intentionally set about to violate the law either domestically or internationally. That illusion has been shattered for me personally with the ascension of George Bush.

It was a shock for me to realize that our elections could be fixed with the collusion of the Supreme Court and the officials in Florida to enable this impostor to steal the office of the President. It was also a shock when Cheney, the real Don of our government could stonewall all demands to see the proceedings of his so called Energy Task force and carry that over to stonewalling the investigations into the 9/11 tragedy.
Each and every step that Congress took to seek accountability from this administration has been thwarted with accomplices in our Press and Media.

The Democratic Party which should have been vocal with its criticisms of all these and more was silenced in part by the Anthrax threats, which, I believe, did not originate from the ether.Every institution, including the SEC was coopted in implementing the agenda of this racketeering organization which goes by the name US Govt.

The ultimate for this gang was the war it unleashed on a country that had no means to harm us, mainly to prop up the image of a cowardly President Usurper. The way they slandered Max Cleland and John Kerry shows the level to which they would stoop to enforce their rule.

The Judith Miller saga tells us that our so called Press has become a propaganda arm of this criminal enterprise. The Jack Abramoff-Tom DeLay scandal tells us money and power are like aphrodisiacs for these people.Their ability to fix elections in their favor and thus control the Congress has now subverted our Constitution for good and only Patrick Fitzgerald stands between us and these criminals.

Each day I pray that God grant Pat Fitzgerald the courage and fortitude to defeat these scum and restore our nation’s pride in itself. Our nation already owes a deep debt to Fitzgerald and his bringing these criminals to justice will earn him our gratitude forever.

More Signs of a Housing Slowdown

I know – there is no housing bubble; it’s all a liberal fantasy to scare people.  At least, this is what people on the political right say.  According to one pundit on Fox news, there are a few markets that are slightly overpriced but nothing to worry about.   (The FDIC has contradicted this assessment.)  Well, the reality is there is a housing bubble and it is very dangerous for many reasons.

Pat Murphy for Congress

I went to a fundraiser for Pat Murphy last night. I’m getting to know Pat and his campaign staff pretty well. He is a great candidate and his staff is filled with excellent people. If they keep buying me drinks, I may even endorse him. LOL.

Pat is running for Congress in the 8th district of Pennsylvania. The district covers most of Bucks County, which is a very affluent county that runs along the picturesque Delaware River. The river serves as the border with New Jersey.

His opponent Mike Fitzpatrick is one of Tom DeLay’s flunkies:

Federal Elections Commission records show that Fitzpatrick has received $15,000 from the DeLay controlled Americans for a Republican Majority Political Action Committee (ARMPAC) since 2004.

From Pat’s bio:

Jack Murphy, Patrick’s father, served in the Navy during the Vietnam era and served honorably for twenty-two years as a Philadelphia police officer and sergeant. Two of Patrick’s uncles were Army airborne paratroopers, Joe Rapone – who served with the 11th Airborne and distinguished himself in the Philadelphia police force as an inspector – and Bill Rapone – who proudly served with the 82d Airborne “All-American” Division and in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne Division. Currently, Patrick’s brother J.J. serves as a captain in the U.S. Air Force Reserves and is working at their Rescue Coordination Center at Langley Air Force Base. After serving on active duty for over five years, he was mobilized after 9/11 and served for another year of active service.

With this background, it is no surprise that Patrick went on to become a West Point professor, airborne and air assault qualified, a JAG Corps attorney, and that he served two deployments after 9/11 — the first to Bosnia in 2002 and the second to Baghdad, Iraq in 2003-2004 as a paratrooper with the 82d Airborne Division.

In Iraq, Captain Murphy advised on offensive operations, initiated reconstruction efforts within the justice system, trained the new Iraqi Civil Defense Corps on the rules of engagement and was instrumental in the prosecution of Sheik Moyad, a radical lieutenant of Muqtada Sadr. For his service, Patrick earned the Bronze Star and his unit earned the Presidential Unit Citation.

CARTOON: The Emperor Has No Competence

Continuing with my tradition of a groaner at the end of the week to lighten the mood.  Hope it gives you a chuckle.

By the way, I watched Hardball last night and some GOP strategist was on. He said that since Fitzgerald isn’t going to make a report, it indicates that there won’t be any charges.  Talk about creating your own reality.  No one knows what will happen, but the Republicans seem to be in wish mode.
