I forgot I had this card, or I would have posted it sooner. This is a ink and watercolor drawing I did of Bart, a Pyr I used to have.
Seeing as it’s still Thursday in much of the world, and the first dog blog has already fallen into the holiday abyss, I’m taking the liberty of posting a second dog blog this week.
Any other pet art, or pictures of pets in holiday finery?
Sorry for the overly cutesy title, but the ducklings are just so darn cute when they stretch up tall – to their whole 10 inch height – and flap their one inch “wings.”
The duckling that we’ve named “Boogie Shoes” is still one of our favorites – and one of the half dozen or so that we will keep.

Winter in Michigan

Are those frisbees? Or did they make off with some dinner plates?
Georgeous dogs.
One Frisbee and one chewed up “Jolly Ball”
and those are really good-looking dogs.
Luna wishes she had snow, and a frisbee (she chews hers).
Luna is beautiful, she looks a lot like our Cody a rescued White German Shepard

bad picture, good dog:)
Is Woof a newfie?
no, Woof is a Chowmutt.
1/2 Chow, 1/2 anybody’s guess.
Ah, he looked newfie-sized in the picture, must just be the perspective.
I love the drawing — the eyes are really expressive.
The dogs weren’t particularly picture worthy this week but I did like this one of Sniff on the hunt.
And a reprise of the other two so they won’t feel left out.
Female, affectionate, submissive.
This is what showed up on my front stoop at dawn this morning. She leaped the fence (in one place only 2′ high because Katrina knocked down trees that crushed it) to get in the yard. I tried to put her out the gate, hoping she’d continue on her journey after a rest and a good drink, but she ran around the fence to the low part — the stile, as it were — and leaped back in the yard to stay.
I live on a dirt road in a rural area. Been here since ’83 and have had this “dumping” happen literally dozens of times. She’ll be a candidate for the shelter as our female spayed German sheperd (herself a stray two years ago) is not “other dog” friendly.
Wish it could be otherwise.
Ouch, you are breaking my heart. She’s a beaut.
I took both my Rotties to argentina when they were puppies. We ended up in Bariloche, which is in the west side, on the Andes.
