I never knew Jack Abramoff was really Boris Badenov.  It explains a lot.

He really pissed off some religious friends when he dressed like that.

What do you think is under the jacket?…protective vest?…financial records?….emails?

By the way, did you see where McClellan is dodging requests for an account of specific meetings with Casino Jack at the White House?

WASHINGTON – The White House is refusing to reveal details of tainted lobbyist Jack Abramoff’s visits with
      President Bush’s staff.

McClellan said Tuesday that he checked on it at reporters’ requests, but wouldn’t discuss the private staff-level meetings. “We are not going to engage in a fishing expedition,” he said.

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, along with three other Democratic senators, wrote Bush a letter Tuesday asking for an accounting of Abramoff’s personal contacts with Bush administration officials and acts that may have been undertaken at his request. “The American people need to be assured that the White House is not for sale,” they wrote.

McClellan has said Abramoff attended three Hanukkah receptions at the White House, but corrected himself Tuesday to say there were only two — in 2001 and 2002.

McClellan said Bush does not know Abramoff personally, although it’s possible the two met at the holiday receptions.

Well now, Abramoff IS radioactive. He’s not known to anyone on Capitol Hill (Hastert) or K Street and the White House shows there’s something to hide.

But they can’t run fast enough to disappear the evidence.

TPM has some rakings on the White House run and Hastert’s, well who knew Jack?:

Poor Jack. What ungrateful friends he bought.

sinister in his black get-up. Last night on Countdown, Keith was joking with the dude from Village Voice about how Jack obviously doesn’t have a wardrobe consultant.

Former Sec Navy and Republican of note in the Reagan era, James Webb is more rational and more honest and more accurate more often than most of his similarly high-ranking Repub counterparts.

This is an excellent op-ed by him here.

In pictures Jack is a pretty attractive man.  (Don’t worry, I’m sure if I met him I’d be repulsed by his personality.)  Has anyone seen him in person?  Is he just photogenic or is he really good looking?

GEORGE CLOONEY: I want to thank Jack Abramoff, you know, just because. I’m the first one out, lets get this thing rolling. I don’t know why. Who would name their kid Jack with the last words `off’ at the end of your last name? No wonder that guy is screwed up. Alright I just got bleeped.

So, George, perhaps bored with all the references to his “political” movies wants the larger Golden Globes’ public to know about Jack Abramoff.

He got a Golden Globe award for ‘best-supporting actor’ role in Syriana. Nothing for his role in “Good Night and Good Luck”
