What makes a Bush conservative

I’ve read Ginmar off and on for years, first for her Buffy fanfic and then when she was called up her posts about the Iraq war. One of her posts, The Alamo is highly overrated as a tourist attraction, was widely linked to and she drew national attention for it because it described her unit being nearly surrounded and cut off by insurgents.

In one of her latest posts, she absolutely nails it on the type of person who is a Fox News, Bush loving conservative.
She wrote:

My ex boss was a creepy old fart who was shaped like a pyramid on legs. He wrote memos like one of the more illiterate internet trolls and boasted both of a royal heritage and a mysterious past. He also had serious ailments that frequently left him blinking and flinching bravely at the pain. He was one of hte most ineffective bosses I ever had, too—he blustered and yelled, but he didn’t have the guts to make people obey the rules. He didn’t do any of the things he said he’d ever done, and so he compensated by having this really aggressive stance that had nothing to back it up. He was aggressively conservative, too, in a desperate way that betrayed little thought but a great deal of reaction. All the things he didn’t do were things that gnawed at him, and he compensated for them in his politics and his beliefs. People who were different from him, and yet who had done the things he never did made him furious. The less he had done, the more he hated people who had. He wanted the reputation and respect that came from doing those things.
