Some of you may remember that I’ve been raising tadpoles in the house – ever since the pond started to dry up (about a month ago).
This little fellow’s gone a bit awry. We call him Yogi, ‘cuz his feet are usually somewhere near his ears.
There are three (out of at least a dozen) that had something strange with their legs. I contacted Parks and Wildlife, and a researcher there wants me to document them. He suspects it’s just a developmental deformity, but wants a detailed report all the same.
Uh, Keres?
Deformed frogs are, uh, interesting. And, I guess, maybe even appropriate for the, uhhhmmmmm, attitude around the pond lately.
But, come on, viewers really tune in for LUNA.
Don’t bait & switch on us.
Wouldn’t want people to think that non-dogs are not just as important as dogs.
Apparently Luna was running so fast that the she had to close her eyes because of the gale-force wind in her eyes.
“Wouldn’t want people to think that non-dogs are not just as important as dogs.”
Why hide the truth?
That’s a GREAT picture.
so no action shots.
My slacker buddy. That’s how I feel right now.
A couple of more slackers for ya. I found my babies snuggled together when I got home yesterday.
It’s good to be a dog.
hee hee
very cute!
The nice thing about oriental rugs is that you can just pretend that all the dog hair is part of an intricate design.
We’ve sold nine thus far, all to good homes, so now we’re down to one older drake (Heckle – the one with the red on his face), six young drakes, and ten young ducks (females).
We’ll keep four or five females and one drake, so the numbers have worked out pretty well thus far.
His tail is blurred because he’s wagging it! It’s one of my favorite Muscovy traits.
He’s a lovely pied slate and white (as are four of the remaining young drakes). There’s also a pied brown and white, and one that’s nearly all white, with some black in his crest.
These belong to Imogen/myriad’s mum. We gave them to her about a year ago as an xmas present.
There was a rooster, named Benedict, but her turned out to be a real SOB, and had to be put down. Since then, mum’s neighbor’s rooster has taken over harassing the girls, so they’ve come to live with us till we can work out a solution.
They are a rare breed called Golden Campines (Cam-PEENS), which originated in Belgum. They’d look lot prettier if they hadn’t had most of their neck feathers pecked out by the damn rooster.
