But the favorite baseball team poll is still open in the last cafe. I’d say vote early and vote often — but that would mean you are a cubs fan.
I didn’t know teddy bears had a professional team. LOL
but I have puupy treats and two divas who want to play. LOL
Are we making a play date? All three of my dogs like to play. They say your dogs should come over and join them in the pointless but fun chasing of deer.
I am sure they would love it!!!! Of course you know the beagle mix could never be just turned lose as she would never stop running a scent.
Sniff was really bad about that at first but he’s pretty good about coming back when called now. When our old hound was young, though, he would be gone for hours. But he always was back in time for dinner.
Go ahead. Wake the little creep up. He got me up a couple of times in the night last week to let him go out and howl at the moon.

I’ve finished my “work” work and I’ve been considering taking a nap but I’m not really tired. Wonder if anybody else is awake of if I need to yell WAKE UP

It’s dinner making time here in the Eastern time zone. And still nap time on the west coast and mountain time. So the only ones who might need waking up would be the you folks in central time zone.
I think I’m just going to let everybody sleep on for a while. Because I don’t feel much like moving off of this couch for a while.
I forgot about dinner making time. Now that you mention it my stomach is growling. Almost finished painting the younger boy’s room a neat curry color. He has a collection of african masks and bob marley posters that will look cool against that color. God, I hate painting.

So can you do this by putting some tumeric in a pail of water and then just throwing it at the wall?
Next time that might be easier, but, oy, the mess!

We’ve been working up to it all week. It’s actually a complete change of rooms between my away-at-college daughter and my son who deserves the bigger room now. What a pain in the neck disassembling everything for the big move across the hall, because of course nothing will fit through the door.

I think I’ve finally thawed.
I will check back later but since I had maybe 3 hours sleep last night I am daed at the keyboard.
What’s on the Saturday night menu? We’re going for comfort food, steak, mashed potatoes, and broccoli. Maybe a salad if I’m feeling ambitious.
Fish chowder for us. Cold weather comfort food.
As the mashed potatoes connoisseur of the family, I need to ask: milk, butter, salt, and pepper only? onions boiled with the the potatoes? garlic? other additions?

garlic reminds me that I need to go to the grocery store. I should have ordered my groceries again. Now that I’m going to do this on Saturday’s so I have to be home on and off — I could order food every Saturday. In fact . . . I think its necessary to order it because otherwise how can I do this taxing job as hostess AND that particular chore?
And since its a necessity I can expense it to the cafe. Right?
Surely there’s a client to whom you can just bill everything including your hosting time.
it’s hard to hide a whole day of 6 minute increments on somebody’s bill.
And besides that would be WRONG. You must think you are talking to my evil twin.
<sigh> My evil twin should have negotiated an expense account for me. She really is evil.

That buffalo would look great out in front of the cafe. It would really be an attention getter.
