Happy Sunday Morning to all my fellow liberals!!! Hope everyone has a great day. I got quite a few designs done yesterday. Now I have to do teh descriptions which gets hard as you write about one bigot after another. LOL
Later this morning I will be going out with some friends and putting up signs for a candidate here in Texas.
I have been up since 4:30 am. That is my normal time to get up for work during the week and my body is already adjusting back.I am almost through with the first pot of coffee and planning the second one. LOL
Cat and spouse are still sleeping…coffee is brewing…although I’ve been working for an hour already.
Sorry I missed all the fun last night. Another busy weekend and week of activism…so no goofing off for me. I’ll lurk today and this week…probably no blogging. RL is getting busy…doing tax clients and politics and work at the same time.
I love playing a subversive glad game. My favorite (obviously since I’ve remember it all these years) one was for my sister who is missing the three middle finger on her left hand — when she was in the Girl Scouts, I told her that no one would ever criticize her salute.
If you look, there are always opportunities to get close to the giants toe, and spit on it, or kick it or, pee on it, or bite it –
the only thing I get annoyed with are the polyannas –
polyannas can’t respect diversity, and have to label people with non – pollyanna views with labels such as cynical or negative or pessimistic …
polyannas can’t take the reality that even though they see injustice and try to do something – almost no one really cares!!
then “Woe !! The World is Cruel – I Might Have to Quit”
IF all of us set out everyday to kick, spit on, bite, or pee on the giant’s toe, the giant is gonna learn to be nice.
Early March to the end of June in So.Carolina and Georgia…a long time ago. At the time I was coming out from Utah…they wore coats and I wore shorts. It was too funny by half!
Still the same down here. I’m more of a winter person. I perfer the cold to the heat and humidity. If funny but most people move down here when they get old for the heat. I’m finding the older I get the heat/humidity is killing me each summer.
Good Morning for the state of Tennessee. At least the sun is shining here today! That is, in and of itself, a statement….I can say the gloominess of the overcast sky was about to get to me…
I know that someday soon, I will wishing for some of it to help with the heat. For now tho, I am glad to see the sun.
NOt much happening around my house that is not usual of the normal day. The cats keep me in a habit of the same old thing. Like mentioned above, my body’s own alarm clock has me up at the time of going to work. Geez, just once I would like to have a sleep in that is for the fun of it…Coffee is a good thing to have of the morning. I really do like it. Have tried drinking tea instead and like it as well but coffee is the best.
Good to see ya all today and hope that everyone is in good health and free from allergies…not me, sad to say. The mold spores is running high I think today. Am sneezing more this am than should. I have been trying to catch up with all the diaries written and they are very good ones too.
christ its almost 10am (i can say christ on sunday right?)
i had my surgery last monday and it was fine….they gave me a 2 week supply of dilautid which i never had before….i am totally toasted and feeling no pain….today is the first day i tried to listen to the news or read a blog….the world sucks!!!! i wanna stay in my coma.
did anything happen in the last 7 days worth repeating?
Hello Anna – glad to hear you are feeling ok (toasted). I would say yea, some things have been happening, but I’m afraid you’ll have to peer through the haze and decide which is most important.
Quick checkin before spouse and I head out the door for church/chauffeur duties…busy day today with lots of grocery shopping. Feeling a bit stretched — trying to do things for both ourselves and the in-laws means that we don’t have much time for just us. Next Saturday though I’m going to insist we do something fun for my birthday, which means this week we’re going to have to get a lot of cleaning done (when spouse is not at work at least).

Good morning. You’re up early on a Sunday morning. And you must have been up for awhile because you can write complete sentences.
Sounds like you are having a very good weekend.

Good Morning All.
How’s everyone in the pond today?
Everything is fine here. How are you doing this morning?
Looks like a very quiet sunday so far — all that Saturday partying takes its toll.
It did on me. I overslept this morning. But I had fun, more than a few belly laughs on my side.

Hi Sally,
Same situation here. Work has really taken over – only brief lurking now and then, little blogging.
Pollyanna glad game: insomnia is so useful keeping up with all those tasks.
Pollyanna is definitely not my style! Too much vinegar in me for that!
My good friends call me a realistic optimist…I’ll always find the bright side or good part but never lose sight of reality!
I’ve been tagged as principled cynic.

rmm.
That is soooooo cute…
Good morning all.
Cold again here. About 19 this morning.
Last day of winter break for the asklets. Taking them skating a bit later today.
Good morning Ask & Sally. I’m sorry you both have to work so hard. Now ya’ll just take a little vacation and relax.
It’s cold here near SF but that means about 40…we’re wusses when it comes to the cold!
Skating sounds like so much fun…it’s not one of my sports…but I love watching skaters…so graceful and silent.

You obviously haven’t lived down south. 60 degrees is considered cold down here.

Lots of hugs to all and have a great day.
Good Morning Brenda. We have sun down here in Alabama too. It’s nice for a change.
on my way out to put up signs for a candidate. I have a Dairy up.
Check you liberals later!!!
I think that a ‘dairy’ is more likely for the cafe picture than for anything you might do. ;D
OTOH, everybody should go read refinish’s diary on depression and anxiety.
Good diary, refinish. It’ll help people understand depression better, and lord knows we need some understanding!

Thursday we celebrated ‘Avoiding Reality Day’ — stretching that out for as long as possible sounds like a very noble endeavor.
I have to start cleaning the house for the big B’day dinner today. Everyone have a good day in the pond.
Hey, as long as George cleans the dishes, the house is perfect!
Have a great time at the Birthday dinner.
Hi everyone, I am up and not so roaring, I will be back in a bit with a new cafe, after I watch the Sunday talk shows. See you then.

Okay, gotta fly…back later for Diane’s cafe… 🙂
