Here is the speech Bush delivered and here is just one paragraph to make you shake your head:
Tonight I will leave India to travel to Pakistan, another important partner and friend of the United States. There was a time when America’s good relations with Pakistan would have been a source of concern here in India. That day is passed. India is better off because America has a close relationship with Pakistan, and Pakistan is better off because America has a close relation with India. On my trip to Islamabad, I will meet with President Musharraf to discuss Pakistan’s vital cooperation in the war on terror and our efforts to foster economic and political development so we can reduce the appeal of radical Islam. I believe that a prosperous, democratic Pakistan will be a steadfast partner for America, a peaceful neighbour for India, and a force for freedom and moderation in the Arab world.
The problem here is that Pakistan is not in the Arab world. It has a large Muslim population but Pakastani’s are not Arabs. This is in a vetted speech folks, this was not ad-libbed. We all know “W” can’t speak off the cuff worth a damn but this was written for him and proofed by his associates. Does anyone wonder why we are as screwed as we are with the rest of the globe?
Shouldn’t a President and his underlings be able to pass a World Geography course before weilding enoromous power over it?
I believe that a prosperous, democratic Pakistan will be a steadfast partner for America, a peaceful neighbour for India, and a force for freedom and moderation in the Arab world.
WTF???
Only thing I can think of is that he had more than a few before he gave that one!
And he has the nerve to criticize the educational system!!
If this wasn’t so sad, it would be hilarious!
that their nation is part of the “Arab world.”
They will be almost as grateful to America for informing them of this as they are for the generous bombing raids they have enjoyed for the last few years, a gift from the people of the United States.
W/a gift like that, who needs an April Fool’s Joke?
In an eleventh hour concession, President Bush directed US negotiators to give in to India’s demands that it be allowed to produce unlimited quantities of fissile material and amass as many nuclear weapons as it wants.
The agreement still requires the approval of congress…but WTF. This administration just keeps flipping everybody off…what a ya gonna do about it chump.

Freedom and democracy on the march.
I think my head’s going to explode. Time for a nightcap and a weekend free of political intrigue.
Peace
that, like the privilege of self-defense itself, is something that only the US can bestow or withold.
As long as this primordial absolute is not questioned, it would not, in my opinion, constitute a Patriot Act violation or an act of terror to criticize the decision to allow India to have this material.
But I would be very wary of similar criticism directed at Washington’s decision that Iran may not be permitted to obtain such things.
Americans who have such thoughts could be at risk for weakening Resolve, and should probably report themselves to their local Homeland Security authority before this pre-terror ideation spirals out of control.
Bush doesn’t have to open his mouth to be an embarrassment to us globally anymore…however it never ceases to amaze me how someone who is the president goes out of his way I think to be purposely even willfully ignorant. He knows what he knows-don’t confuse him with facts seems to be his modus operandi.
The knowledge that Pakistani’s are not Arabs would seem to be the most rudimentary knowledge of foreign affairs 101. I’m beyond being disgusted by the stupidity of this man(and whoever wrote that speech for him also)
