Now, here is a problem worth having:
It almost seemed like a miracle to Haldis Gundersen when she turned on her kitchen faucet this weekend and found the water had turned into beer.
Two flights down, employees and customers at the Big Tower Bar were horrified when water poured out of the beer taps.
By an improbable feat of clumsy plumbing, someone at the bar in Kristiandsund, western Norway, had accidentally hooked the beer hoses to the water pipes for Gundersen’s apartment.
“We had settled down for a cozy Saturday evening, had a nice dinner, and I was just going to clean up a little,” Gundersen, 50, told The Associated Press by telephone Monday. “I turned on the kitchen faucet and beer came out.”
A man can dream anyway. It takes my mind of just hearing Lou Dobbs say, “What in the world is Senator Feingold thinking?
I’m off to Drinking Liberally, where the beer comes out where it is supposed to.
but I think I read that by the time the beer got to her tap, it was flat.
Still, it reminds me of a great song by Brave Combo:
Omir – Just the mention of Brave Combo makes me want to RUN to the fridge for some beer. No! Polka my way to the fridge.
We used to go see them at the Continental Club in Austin when they made the trip south from Denton. They make it up here to Seattle every couple of years or so, and you better believe my s-i-l never misses an appearance.
That’s it… I got to find a house that’s right up against a soft ice cream shoppe : )
a tequila factory??? 🙂
Ha! Cali Scribe 🙂
That’s a thought especially I live in a Blue Law state. Frikken tequila is more expensive here, too. Which is what I think the whole reasoning behind blue laws is. Jack up the price.
Have a few for me.
Imagine if the timing been a little better and this occurred on Friday the 17th!
and remember this is a special miracle in Norway where .5l of beer will set you back around £6 (rough 8 USD)!
