Touring Iraq a few weeks after the war, I made a point of stopping in every hospital and enquiring about this pandemic of genital-less Iraqis: not a single doctor or nurse had heard about it.
So I guess that the many missing legs/arms etc doesn’t count.
MARK STEYN – another three years of “containment” would have cost around $300 billion
This is an out and out fabrication. The war and occupation are costing a 100 billion a year. Enforcing the no-fly zones was about 15 billion or less a year as I remember. The difference being we can afford containment. We can’t afford 100 billion a year in occupation. Especially with bush’s tax cuts for the super rich.
MARK STEYN – It would also have cost more real lives of real Iraqis: Despite the mosque bombings, there’s a net gain of more than 100,000 civilians alive today who would have been shoveled into unmarked graves had Ba’athist rule continued.
If you average in the loses from the US backed war on Iran back in the 80’s then you may get an average death count that is 100,000 higher then the 100,000 civilian deaths we have caused by this invasion.
So this Steyn fellow is a liar and a history shifter. He should get a job in the bush administration. If hes not on the payroll already.
What should NOT be forgotten, however, is that the combined number of deaths of Iraqi civilians, insurgents & coalition forces has yet to reach the obscene numbers of deaths caused by bombing the sh*t out of Iraq’s electrical & sanitation infrastructure followed by economic sanctions.
Make no mistake: this was a biological Weapon of Mass Destruction.

Damn! I wish I’d been there.
Arkin good, Steyn full of shit (as usual).

Steyn is obfuscating here.
